Candlewood Suites Ft Walton Bch - Hurlburt Area

The hotel is nice. In a good area. Lots to do around. Staff was very friendly with check in. Even was able to recomend places to eat. Clean room. Bathroom is clean. Nice kitchenette.

Very well maintained with nice amenities. Laundry facility was very good.

This hotel was fairly new my first stay there was so so, I was walking in out my hotel room and I saw this guy walking up the hallway, I thought he was a guest so I went on the outside to smoke a cigarette the guy comes over and asked me what time it was I told him. Then he walked away to the cigarette butt post and lifted the top off that’s when I realized this is a homeless man I got angry and called the front desk. They told me he walked in the hotel they asked him to leave. I told them the same door he came in is the same door he should have went out, you just exposed your guest you don’t know if he have the coronavirus. I asked her to give me cleaning supplies, she said she would do it and she did. The point is there should always be some one at that desk not in the back I have witnessed several times going to do my laundry that there is no one at the front desk so any one can come in at any time, that is unexceptable, also I had complained there being lipstick stains on my pillow case I called the front desk the GM always have a excuse about a complaint her excuse was maybe the stain didn’t come out, I asked her please no excuse this pillow case with stains should have never been in a guest room please come and change my linens, the so-called supervisor for house keeping sent one of the maid down but she had attitude one morning wake up to maintenance come in my room while sleeping If the staff you have working there will destroy hotel the doors will close soon

Room was completely stocked with a full size fridge, small stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, all the small things you may need in a kitchen. Very spacious and comfortable!!

We were traveling from mobile, Al to stay at this motel and they cancelled our reservation without notifying us. We were stuck without and room and everywhere else was sold out so we had to travel all the way back home. Very inconvenient and bad customer service.

The location was great. The service was not the best starting with check in then with the cleaning staff the next morning. They were vacuuming, moving furniture and were extremely loud very early that morning.

I normally stay at Candlewood Suites because they have recliners in the rooms and I don't sleep well in a bed. The recliner in my room was not an adult size recliner. When I asked if they had a room with a full size recliner they said they are all the same size as in all of the Candlewood Suites. They have obviously never stayed in any other Candlewood Suites.

It was close to Destin maybe 30 minutes top.. The food places are near the hotel as well ..
