Just a place to stay. It pretty isolated in residential district and difficult to go out. Prices are high for a average accommodation. But in Victoria Faĺl, it a rip-off place. All the accommodations are priced very high to rip off the tourists. Taxi is usd$5 for even a short distance. Some even charge usd$10 inside the town. With all the revenue, the town still looks run down where roads are bad and even some are still mud roads. The VF national parks charge usd$30 and all you got are footpath to walk. With all these lousy pricing, you were be harrassed every 30m with someone trying to sell souvenier or their worthless currency or tour package or begging to make your visit miserable.

Flatdog lodge was perfectly nice. It was nothing fancy, especially the pool and outside area, but it was very nice, clean, and the staff was friendly. It was easy to get to and from town, someone would call you a cab to town and it was easy to find a cab when you were in town.

The Lodge was a bit further out of town than I expected, so taxis were a must. Our standard double room was on the top floor so very hot and the aircon and fan on high did not seem to alleviate this very well. For this reason, I’d recommend a room on the bottom floor. Otherwise, our stay was basic but comfortable enough.

A distance from town but still walkable . I walked over to town and took a taxi back which cost usd5 . Room is kinda too dark for my liking , I prefer brighter rooms but I’m grateful to have a full king bed to myself . They have daily menu for dinner and you will have to order my 5pm or so as it’s catered from elsewhere but there isn’t a choice for vegetarian so the staff kindly allowed me to use the kitchen to cook my own instant noodle . I’m very grateful for that ❤️.

This place lacked basics like soap and shampoo for shower.

Great place to stay, nice and quiet. The Rooms upstairs are a bit hot with no conditioning but still great.

Clean and comfortable though getting a little tired. A little out of the centre of town but very easy to get a taxi. No onsite restaurant but it was possible to order dinner which was made offsite and delivered - we chose to eat in town instead. Overall we were happy with our stay at Flatdog Lodge.

Flat dog is a bit away from the city centre making it very quite.. In town has helicoptrers overhead all day from 7:00. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Liada and Holyman made the stay very pleasant. Only $5 for a cab to town. Zimbabwe uses USD.
