Merta Sari Balangan Bungalows

Lovely place run by a lovely local Balangan family. We went early after the COVID-19 situation so things still aren’t quite normal, very quiet in fact. Not all amenities were hence open/working but this is quite understandable. We really enjoyed our stay and they are also dog friendly which was fantastic for us as we travelled with our dog.

Rooms are fine and simple, but spacious enough and farly clean. The place is quiet with a big, beautiful and green garden. Nise, little, quiet stay.

Great low key bungalow resort! With max 10 units, nice garden and excellent pool we are really satisfied with our stay. There is still same space for improvment like more choice for breakfast and nets against mosquitos in the bathroom but this are just minor things in the excellent big picture. Way to go Merta Sari!

We enjoyed our stay here, and they provided a free motorbike for us to use, which made it super easy to get around. Our bungalow was cozy and clean, but it's mostly just a bed and a porch with a bathroom. The pool is nice, and the dining room area is okay, but you're not going to want to spend too much time just hanging out in your room: wouldn't want to be staying here during the rainy season. Wifi in our room was really weak: so you have to go out to the kitchen area if you need to get online. Balangan beach is a 5 minute walk down the street, but it's not really a very good swimming beach, and as for surfing, not for beginners.

Muy deficiente el desayuno además de empezar a las 8 am y demorarse app 40min - 1 hora, por lo que después no lo tomamos mas y tuvimos que ir a locales fuera del hotel. La última noche hubo lluvia en balangan y se llovió absolutamente toda la cabaña, cayendo el agua directo sobre la cama haciéndola inutilizable. El personal es muy amable pero el lugar deja mucho que desear. No volveremos.

7일동안 숙박했습니다. 비오면 방으로 물이 세고, 전기가 끊기기도 했습니다. 에어컨이 제대로 작동하지 않아 잠을 제대로 자질 못했고, 고쳐달랫지만 시간이 많이 걸렸으며, 고친후 하루뒤 다시 동일한 일이 생겼습니다. 추가로 실내공간이 오픈되어있어 습기와 모기가 많이 들어와 생활하기 굉장히 불편합니다. 개선이 되지 않아 환불을 요청하고, 일찍 나가려고 하자 그제서야 신축 방으로 변경 해주엇습니다. 그 방은 훨씬 쾌적했으나, 기존 방의 상태를 알면서도 개선없이 방문고객에게 배정을 하고 불만 사항을 개선하지 않는 부분은 큰 잘못이 있습니다. 마지막으로 호테실스 닷컴에 명시된 기구들이 비치되있지 않고, 요청을 해도 주지 않았습니다.

A good value place pretty close to the beach. Only "problem" was that I stayed in the villas that couldn't be reached by the Wi-Fi signal. Other than that - good stay.

Me and my partner stayed for a month! We checked out many hotels on the peninsula and this is the one we liked the most. It has a very peaceful and harmonious, simple feeling to it and is so lush and beautiful. It’s a little oasis. Nice and clean bungalows, no music at the pool, cute little staff with a family feeling, very kind and helpful if you ask for help. Great breakfast, otherwise simple but cheap food. Close to other restaurants. The area is much nicer than Kuta or further down the peninsula if you prefer less craziness and more chilled. A few minutes walk to a beach that is nice, but the nicest one is dreamland, 5-10 minutes scooter without having to go in the insane traffic on the main road. Mostly couples staying here, a few children, no party people, a kind little dog that minds his own business. Recommend strongly :)

The restaurant on site is just ok for breakfast. The staff even strongly suggested me to go the restaurant on the beach for lunch and dinner. Service: polite staff, that’s all. Not helpful. Wifi: not good in the remote ‘deluxe bungalow’, need to go to the lobby each time.
