Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Farmington

I she stayed here twice before. This time I was given a room that smelled like cigarette smoke. The next room I was given the desk was not cleaned properly. I was not going to take my things back downstairs, for the second time, to get switched to yet another room! I was going to mention this when I checked out but there was no one at the service desk upon my leaving

Everytime I go this is one of the few hotels you will never have 1 problem with Everything is right

Room was paid for but upon arrival the night person charged for the room all over again and now the funds are on hold pending the bank release just a very big inconvenience to say the least.

Good service, the room was nice, very clean and comfortable bed. Everytime we left the room temperature would automatically regulate to 66° degrees so we ran the heat alot; it was kind of loud similar to the sounf of a washing machine doing. I was disappointed that the bistro cafe was closed.

Due to COVID, no facilities except the fitness room are open. Still, I stay at this hotel roughly every year, and it has constantly surpassed my expectations. Maybe it’s due to COVID, but every towel and sheet and my room smelled like cherries. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was nice and staff was great. Of course due to Covd-19 the hotel was unable to offer any extra but a room ..no food, no pool and most importantly no housekeeping service. However since we were there for a funeral we had no other needs except for a bed, great staff and close location.

I was happy with the room. Great appointments and lay out. My problem is with the am manager. The room was for a local getaway. It was my wife’s birthday. Well she came on her cycle and soiled the sheets. She didn’t notice till the morning. Small amount did not soak through. We pulled the bedding off and set it on the floor to be cleaned and to verify it didn’t soak through. We checked out. Two hours later the desk manager calls and is upset. I informed her my wife had an accident and we removed the sheets. And placed them on the floor to be laundered. The next day I received a $50 dollar charge for room damage. To launder bedding? Which you we’re going to do anyway? I’m not one to complain. Nor am I going to contact corporate over this but I will be truthful. To belittle someone over an already embarrassing moment is callous and concerning. In the service department you get a zero. I’m sure this isn’t the first time someone soiled bedding.
