CDP Apartments – Russell Square

This property is listed as 4 stars, but felt much more like a 1.5-2 star property. The unit was in complete disrepair - peeling paint, mold, dirty walls and window sills, soiled curtains, rotted out kitchen counter, faucets that come right off their fixtures - it was bad. I notified the company during our stay, and suggested they not have another tenant stay until the unit was addressed Their answer was it was already booked and we needed to be out by 945am on our last day. I asked for assistance with storing our luggage, they dont offer it. If we wanted more towels while we there - that'll be 15 pounds. I called Hotels.com for assistance, they reached out to the property who said they would "call me within 24 hours". A week later... Dont stay here. It's not worth it.

This apartment is comfortable and in an excellent location close to a tube station. The fixtures are older and a bit worn, but everything worked and we had a good stay. The staff we spoke to via email was very nice, the apartment was easy to access, and the tablet with instructions on how to work everything in the apartment was very helpful. The area was quiet, clean, and close to everything you need. The stairs were a bit of a challenge at the end of the day, but that's to be expected in Europe, and it really wasn't that bad. We would definitely stay there again!

Overall very good place in a nice, quiet residential area of London with lots of restaurants, grocery stores, pubs and walking distance to Tube and University of London. We were visiting during a heat wave in London (seemingly the new norm in summer) and there is no a/c so we ended up buying fans for the bedrooms but the quiet street meant the windows could be opened at night. Laundry facilities was a big plus and wifi was very fast (made teens happy). Note that there is only 1 toilet even though there is a large, separate bathroom that could accommodate a second. Also, this is a 3rd floor walk up so you need to be mobile. Couple of small things could have made this feel like a 4 star such as trash cans in bedrooms, more toiletries to last a week, better quality towels, towel rail and lock on toilet door and perhaps a TV in one of the bedrooms. My son slept on the sofa bed so this room was essentially his bedroom and was tough to watch the news etc with him sleeping in there. Overall very good though and would recommend. Try Caluccis Italian nearby.

It is a spacious apt at an excellent location for family vacation at London. The check-in and check-out is easy. Can't expect more. It is nearly perfect except unexpected thing happens, because there was no service.I did run into two small issues. The shower water was too hot, and there is no effective way to adjust it even after email communications. LHR somehow delayed our bag to next day, the reason for the CDP staff not helping us to accept the luggage delivery was laughable. We had inconvenience day. Again, it was a great stay, and I will recommend it to others.

I am very happy that I booked this apartment. I was hesitant to book an apartment because I normally book hotel rooms. The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions. They replied within minutes of my email. The staff is top notch. As for the apartment it's self, all I can saw is wow! The location was perfect! It's close to the Russell Square station which made moving around the city was easy. There are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions all within a few minutes walk. The apartment was plenty big for me and my group of friends. They staff provided plenty of towels, toiletries, dinnerware, glasses etc... Internet in the room is really fast which is a good. Overall I had a pleasant experience and will book with CDP Apartments again in the future.
