Blue Reef Sport and Fishing Lodge & Bungalows

The location of the hotel is great, it's close to kite-surf shops, in front of a beautiful beach and near very cool bars and restaurants. The rooms are ok, nothing fabulous but functional and charming. Unfortunately I was given a noisy room that was close to the staff room where they go in and out all day to do washing and storage so it wasn't very private. Also the windows cannot be closed so you can hear everything that's going on outside. I did request a change of room but this wasn't possible as all the other rooms were fully booked. They have a nice bar and they make good cocktails. The staff are super friendly and are always up for a chat. The wifi doesn't work in the room, only in common areas.

Clean and comfortable, no AC but the fan directed over the bed worked well.

What a lovely little place! We stayed in the Bungalows which was lovely, the restaurant area isnt as lively as the Lodges (200m away) but that was fine by us! The pizza and cocktails offered at the Bungalow restaurant were delicious - far too many were eaten!! And the food at the Lodge restaurant was always lovely too. Comfy sunloungers and you're right on the beach which is perfect. You get used to the tides after a few days and its lovely to walk out on low tide too - we spotted a starfish and plenty of hermit crabs. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, you guys really made the stay so thank you! We didnt do as many trips as we'd hoped as we just got too relaxed to want to move!! But there's plenty of activity options on offer. We didnt have aircon but the fan was more than sufficient - even needing to turn it off a few nights as we got too cold! Rooms are nice and airy with the windows. If you're after a low key, relaxing, beach stay and don't want to spend a fortune then Blue Reef is ideal!

We stayed for 8 nights and felt great. Excellent service, good food and lovely cocktails. We stayed in the lodge, where the room is not like in a hotel, but is so comfortable with a king size bed, impeccable cleaned every day. We loved the premises, very offering for relaxing with the ocean view... Thank you and hope to come back next year :)

We were fetched at the airport and brought to the lodge where we were welcomed by Nicky, Tom and a few members of staff. We were showed to our room and when we settled in, received a welcome drink, prepared by Nutty and served with a friendly smile. We automatically felt welcome and at home. The next day we met Nathan (Simba) who was very welcoming and had a big smile on his face. Over the course of our stay we got to know EVERYONE more, and the more we got to know them, the more they felt like family. We weren't treated like strangers, we were treated like friends and towards the end, after we got to know them properly - like family. Nutty, Antony, Habibi, Wilimina, Bonny, Hashim and ALL the other members of staff were absolutely AMAZING to us and EVERYONE is always smiling. The food is absolutely amazing and the lodge caters for your needs, whatever that may be. The placement of the lodge is absolutely perfect all around, and I must say, seeing the ocean view and feeling the breeze constantly, is absolute bliss. Not a second goes by that your needs are not accommodated, you are never left feeling unwelcome, by anyone, at any moment in time. The parties were amazing too :) Simba and his girlfriend Sue, were amazing to us, we spent quite a bit of time with them and they showed us new places too, leaving us with memories that we not only made on our own, but memories made with new friends too.THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT BLUE REEF and we will be back soon! Struttura bella, pulita, vicino al mare, personale e titolari di estrema gentilezza e disponibilita', ottime sia la colazione che il ristorante che il servizio bar. Da provare assolutamente

Struttura bellissima e direttamente sulla spiaggia di jambiani, personale gentile e sempre disponibile, il proprietario Thomas e il suo staff ti fanno sentire a casa e sono sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta,cibo ottimo e oltre al menu ci sono sempre piatti nuovi che variano di giorno in giorno...non ho trovato nulla che non mi piacesse. Se dovessi tornare a Zanzibar tornerei sicuramente al blue ...consigliatissimo

Läget var toppen, personalen fantastisk. ägaren var på plats varje dag och hjälpte till på alla sätt o vis.

Il blue Reef è speciale perché molto semplice ma allo stesso tempo trovi tutto ciò che ti serve, personale sorridente e cordiale, un grazie speciale a Wilimina, se avessi un attività mia sarei ben felice di avere una collaboratrice come lei. Cucina ottima con gusti sempre differenti, ampia scelta e porzioni abbondanti. Il mio unico consiglio è rivolto alle camere poste sui lati, se ci fosse una finestra aperta sul bagno sarebbe tutto perfetto per vivere una vacanza da sogno lontano dalla tecnologia e dell’occidentalità! Bravi Thomas, Nicky e Natan per quello che avete creato!! TOP

A parte la posizione che non potevamo chiedere di meglio il personale è efficiente, cordiale disponibile È stata una bellissima vacanza grazie anche al fattore umano trovato in Loco Zanzibar stupenda e the Blue Reef Lodge é una struttura perfetta per vivere al meglio Jambiani e i suoi colori unici
