Varaba Country House

Nice place. Tree around and big garden to sit outside.

It was quiet, away from traffic and noise right beside an olive farm. They make their own wine, treat you like royalty and the price was amazing!

Very modern, clean, and with thoughtful touches like a towel warmer, hot water maker and assorted tea. Loved the bedspread. My patio doors opened to a lovely patio and Athens mountainin view in the distance. A walk along the country roads nearby offer vineyards, olive and pistachio orchards and artichokes. There is a lovely tiny church across the road from the villa- great for a late afternoon photo shot. They served me a meal in their great room that was exquisite. Could have cost $30 euros but for $14. Staff became instant friends. Alex picked me up from the airport on very short notice. 10/10. Will definitely go back.

I stayed at Varaba House for one night because i had a morning flight and wanted to be close to the airport. I took the arranged shuttle/taxi to and from the airport, service was seamless, prompt, and great - thank you, Alex! Christina was a fabulous hostess, very attentive and sweet. The night i stayed there was only one other guest in the hotel, and we had a lovely dinner in the dining room by the fireplace. If you stay here the dinner is wonderful...so much good food, you can tell it is prepared with love. I left before breakfast in the morning, but I am confident it would be equally tasty. My stay was during the winter so i did not see much of the outside area/grounds. The room was spacious and comfortable, heating worked great, and i loved the heated towel rack - such a great touch during cold weather. Overall, I highly recommend Varaba House if you are looking for a place to stay for a night coming or going from Athens. Mahalo to Christina, Alex, and Maria for making my stay a great one!

the place is very far from the paved roads, it looks you are going in a jungle , the place is very scary to live at night, any one going there with kids should think twice, I will not go there and will not recommend any one to stay there.

Maria took great care of us. She made dinner that satisfies our picky eater kid. The room was fantastic and the property was excellent. Alex did the airport pick up and drop off for us and was on time, courteous and great.

Alex and his wife were so nice and helpful with the transportation and helping us use the train they truly made this trip enjoyable for my family and I.

The service here was fabulous. We were staying downtown for the beginning portion of our trip, but wanted a place close to the airport for our last night since our flight left early the next morning. They were gracious enough to offer a ride from our first hotel to the their place and we also arranged for transport to the airport with them. The location was perfect and the property is beautiful. It was also nice having an English speaking host.

Very relaxed and peaceful. Really helpful with transfers to and from the airport. Very accommodating. Really loved the rural surrounding.

Very cute please out in the country side but close to the airport. It was cute and rustic. What I didn't like was the drive there. Close to the airport via proximity, but not close via drive. They made it easy with a driver but....how people drive in Greece; it was a scary ride. I prefer my drivers to not text and drive, and I prefer them not to speed at 140 km/h. Also, we woke up at 6:30am to gunshots.... Apparently there's a military academy close by where they have rifle target practice that starts very early. Otherwise it's a great place, great staff, dinner was delicious, and otherwise very quiet. Even the planes aren't loud even though we're close to the airport.
