The Anderson Estates

This not hotel at all. It's a hostel. Rooms are very dirty and bathroom is in common hall. Not recommended for family.

Beware of bed bugs!! I stayed here for three nights with my brother and he left with bed bug bites all over his body. After notifying management, they said they would investigate and let me know if they found bugs, but after two weeks, they never got back with me. I would have rated higher had it not been for this incident because the people who work here were accommodating during our stay.

Overall stay was just OK. It's cheap and good for single person. Won't advise people who are planning trip with family because we have to share kitchen and bathroom. They serve complimentary breakfast which is pretty decent. But downside is that it gets served from 9.00 AM. People who are visiting places won't stay there till 9.00 just for the breakfast. Out of 4 breakfasts, I could take only once. But the person in the kitchen was very humble and breakfast was good too. The other thing that they won't tell you early is the cleaning fee $30. It wasn't mentioned while booking. They don't clean your room while staying. I think its unwanted to pay that. Rest, the property needs to be renovated. Furniture is old and dirty. Rooms have nothing except bed and the carpet was awfully dirty. But the people there are nice and welcoming. All in all, I would give 3 star to this place. Overall experience would be just OK.

It’s a very nice old LA style mansion. The owner is very nice. My only problem is there was nowhere to charge our phones and almost no trash cans other than that it was amazing.

I booked 2 bed and they were taken, and no answer from front desk

I was expecting the property to look like the picture. It didn’t. There could be so much potential there if someone took the effort to fix the place. The people working there are extremely NICE. But I ended up staying with a friend after seeing the place the first day of check in.

Clean, Friendly, Beautiful. I can't wait to go back. Amazing gem!

The place was unique in itself. It has a old unique key/lock to the door so that was pretty cool. But the cleanliness is ok some area may need improvement.

We arrived around 4:30 pm to find a sign on the front desk saying that noone would be able to check us in until 6:00 pm and to hang out back by the pool. We had places we needed to be. Fortunately the owner appeared and checked us in really quickly, but he didn't have a room key. He also charged us $15/guest for the cleaning fee--hotels.com said it would be $15. When we got back from the concert we went around back (as we couldn't get in otherwise) and went to our room after hanging out with some of the guests (that part I liked). We never got towels for the shower. There were none to be found--the other guest said that we had to request them from the front desk, but there was noone there. In the morning there was a sign on the front desk saying noone was there to check us out. So we left. Its not like we had to turn in the key.

We had a booking for 3 nights in The Anderson Estates hotel in Los Angeles. But everything in the room description was a lie!! It says this booking includes "Free Parking" but it didn't! They told me "you should find a parking spot in the neighborhood!" so I parked in a street near the hotel and in the morning I realized someone hit my car!! It says it's a 3 bunk bed shared dormitory but it was a 6 bunk bed shared dormitory!! They didn't even provide any shampoo or soap for the bathroom. They didn't provide any hairdryer (which is the most basic thing any hotel provides!) The picture in the website showed to me before booking is COMPLETELY another room!!! Not even close to what they gave us! Despite what they claimed, they didn’t have deep soaking bathtub and free toiletries.
