Marina Paraiso Hotel Isla Mujeres

Very peaceful stay. After staying at the North Beach area this place was a sanctuary. We adopted a puppy from Isla animals and This place was perfect to bond with our new family member

Gorgeous enormous pool which is not typical for Isla. Every person that works there is very friendly and helpful. The manicured gardens and view are lovely. The restaurant serves a delicious menu. This is my 2nd stay in 6 months. I like that it is located mid island and away from the hustle bustle of north beach but handy to lots of restaurants in walking distance or for 50 pesos 0r 3$ you can taxi to north beach or for 75 or 100 pesos taxi to beach clubs towards the south end.

The hotel is a little gem nestled in the city. My room overlooked palm trees, an infinity pool and the on to the large boats on the marina. Feel the charm of lold Mexico.

This property looks great on paper, but there are a few things that keep it from being amazing. Pros: - Nice, quiet location - Amazing marina view of the ocean - Nicely kept pool - Cleaning staff did a great job Neutral: - The onsite restaurant is okay. Nothing to write home about. And service is really, really slow. Cons: - The entire bar area has incredibly poor service (even after tipping pretty well). Even sitting at the bar, it takes a long time for the bartender just to crack a beer and hand it to you. Getting the check takes even longer. There's no music at the bar, so it's very quiet, which can be a plus or a minus. There isn't really any poolside bar service to speak of. I was swimming in the pool one day and a waiter stopped by and said he would return in a little while to take our order. 45 minutes went by, and I never saw him until I was dried off and on my way back to my room. - The showers are horrible. Listen to the other reviews. There is no water pressure, and no real way to control how hot/cold the shower gets. - Sheets. Very rough, especially if you have any sort of sunburn. - Television. Two english channels (CNN and Fox News). No smart TV hook ups for streaming from your own devices. - Wi-fi. The wi-fi doesn't reach the rooms. You have to be at the pool or bar to get it to work. With a few adjustments, this could be an amazing property.

No water pressure. No control of water temperature in shower. No complementary coffee in lobby. No internet in rooms. Internet in public areas didnt work half the time. No privacy in bathroom. Slats in door an inch apart. You can see in. Iguanas in restaurant area. One jumped on my back while having lunch.

I liked that it was on the carabean side. the internet was basically nonexistent, the restaurant was not all that great! The bar and staff were fantastic! The Garden Rooms were not.

We just returned from an amazing week long trip to Isla Mujeres. Marina Paraiso was a wonderful home base for our family. The big pool was lots of fun, the view was fantastic, Barlito was a great option for food and beverages, and the whole staff is amazing and responsive. We walked around the area quite often, but never had trouble getting a cab when we needed. When we decided to rent a golfcart, the front desk staff made all the arrangements for us. If you are looking for powerful Wifi (we personally loved disconnecting) or super high end amenities, you might be disappointed. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s super comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for relaxation and access to all the island has to offer. We loved hanging at the pool on days we did not go to the beach, and even some days when we did. Our seven year old enjoyed meeting some new friends, and so did we. Our room had a great little porch where we often played cards in the evening, or just enjoyed the view. It would have only felt more like home if it was cold. Happily, it was not! We will definitely recommend this hotel as well as stay here again.

We had a really wonderful time. From the first email correspondance with Jose, everything was organised beautifully. We arrived very late but keys were left with the guard for us. Room was air conditioned and bed were so comfy. We hire a gold cart which was there in the morning. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast and food and we stayed and ate there often with the children. Sea food linguini was amazing! The bar is open all day and is a great spot to finish the night in and chat to other holiday makers. The pool is huge and the grounds are beautifully kept and clean with iguanas walking around freely to the delights of the children. The marina at the back is charming and we loved watching th sun set over the boats each night! What a little gem this place is, quiet, away from the town centre busy streets. We will definitely be back and tell people about it!

Great pool, clean rooms, good bar, nice location. Restaurant on site isn't too bad.
