Florenta Hotel

Bad wifi at room...very small room....location far from metro line...close to market..freindly staff...very very small loby....6 floor with tea and coffee all day.

When we got there I realised the room was dusty so it wasn’t cleaned before we got there. The air con wasn’t working neither was the fan. We couldn’t sleep because of the heat and then didn’t bother getting us a table fan. The staff kept saying the air con works then why didn’t it come on in our room! Then they said that the whole hotel air con ain’t working for some time. Before I left I asked them to book me a transfer to the airport because we didn’t have a pleasant stay. The manager first said she will pay half and I should pay half. I didn’t agree to this as we had 2 rooms and there were problems in both rooms. She agreed to pay for it in full. Next day we got in the van to go airport when suddenly the driver stops at another hotel to pick up more passengers. The manager played us, she didn’t want to pay full so let another hotel book the same van so that she can pay half the fare 😡 Not only this, the cleaner didn’t clean our room properly. I had to keep calling to ask for toilet rolls, top up on tea etc. She didn’t make beds properly or anything. I would never go back to that hotel again. Very disappointing.

Initially when I was choosing the Florenta, I wanted shuttle service to and from the Istanbul Airport. According to the web page, it would cost 30USD each way. When I further checked it was going to bye 40USD. Then that was again revised. I gave up on the shuttle. Because my wife and I took the public transportation into Istanbul, we spent over an hours searching for the hotel (we were only 600m from the hotel). The address on the hotel info wasn't clear as to where it was. Even asking local business people we still had a difficult time finding it. On the upside, it was very close to the many sights we chose to see.

Satisfied. Only we have a problem of access that property otherwise hotel is nice.

Excellent customer services from front desk staff members, plenty of food for breakfast, great location simply by foot to many tourist places & lots of restaurants nearby. The only drawback is the room is kind of small and wifi signals very poor sometimes

The staff were excellent and made the stay so much more enjoyable, especially Hasan and Yasin who were very helpful when we needed them. The breakfast was tasty and the upstairs terrace was very clean offering free drinks all day. Despite the rooms being on the smaller side, the staff, location and cleanliness meant I would stay here again.

Florenta hotel was selected because it is situated in an ideal part of Istanbul for sightseeing the attractions in the Sultanahmet area of the city and is no more than half a mile from most. The hotel is not 4 and 5 star, a luxury which we did not seek. However what we did get was: a clean well maintained reasonably sized en suite room with excellent WiFi and TV; good bedside lights, a feature lacking in many up market hotels, two arm chairs another feature often missing in hotel rooms; tea and coffee making facilities and an unstocked, but useful fridge. Free non alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee were always available in the breakfast room 24 hours a day. A vast array of Turkish delicacies and European food was served for breakfast along with the normal breakfast drinks and juices. It is situated in a busy hectic road which provides access for deliveries to the many local wholesalers. Hence the road can be noisy and jammed in the early morning as these deliveries take place. Check in was fast and efficient by the friendly staff but chaos can ensue at busy times in the hotel at the rather small lift. In all great value for money the Florenta can be recommended for an Istanbul break where your emphasis is spending time seeing the Istanbul sights and using the hotel as an excellently sited base.
