Labranda Blue Bay Resort - All Inclusive

Not 4 star. All inclusive drinks, dreadful. Which really let this lovley hotel Down. Very hard working staff but could do,with more.

The limit for the Aqua park is the height. Children need to be over 1,20 meters tall in order to use all the slides. This is a big problem for us my child is 1.10 meters So he can’t participate in any games. Please for the next time I prefer 1.10 meters till waterpark Faliraki. I have never been to an all-inclusive resort, so cannot compare it to others. The resort is large, and occupied primarily by families. There seemed to be a range of food options. I stayed for only one night transiting home, and was kindly upgraded to a lovely suite. Reception staff were great. Restaurant staff, perhaps given the buffet style and large volume of guests, seemed overwhelmed. The pool snd beach areas were great.

Everything was really good, more then our expectations.

Spent 4 days here as my brother was getting married in the nearby kalithea springs. €15 by taxi from the airport and check in was quick. Arrived at 9:15pm with main restaurant open until 9:30pm and was able to eat there and not feel rushed. Food is nice with plenty of meat dishes and a salad bar. I didn’t eat in the burger bar but did have gyros from the pool/beach bar. A lot of reviews state these are fantastic, they are but are basically a kebab, which shows the main restaurant food to be adequate, rather than wow. Beachside setting is lovely and clear turquoise sea is inviting. You’ll need beach shoes as the stones are painful on entering sea. The hotel shop sells them for €8 and their soles are sturdier than the cheap ones in the independent shop opposite. I drank cocktails in the bar, whilst the beer was ok for mealtimes I found the beer a little light in character for me. Cubre libre cocktails were nice. Small stand up paddle board hire centre next to hotel €10 for 30 mins. Wish I’d had a go! There is not a lot in the immediate area, but we did get a taxi to Rhodes old town for €18 and is well worth a visit. You’ll see plenty of planes overhead, close enough to airport to see the landing gear is already down, but we found it interesting. As my young nephew enjoyed pointing out, in the dark they look like approaching X-wing fighters due to the lights. (Wings down obviously!) Had a great break, if staying longer I’d have booked trips or hired a car.

The site is great, well maintained and combines a variety of activities

We had one of the bungalows with its own private pool which was amazing.

This hotel is ok if you have yet to experience 'customer delight' Here you are a number, one of the many they manage every day to ensure the hotel runs smoothly without considering the customer experience. For example; as an all-inclusive customer you are only allowed 2 drinks per person when you go to the bar. We are a family of 3 which meant we had to get to drinks and then rejoin the queue, or 2 people had to go to the bar. This is a total nonsense! You are not allowed to take plates from the restaurant to the bar...if you want to remove yourself from the chaos and often screaming kids to have your coffee and dessert in the bar...you can't, it is not about the customer or what makes the customer happy, it's about the management rules as they have to manage the numbers and if everyone took their plates out of the restaurant it would create more work for the sfaff.(quote, unquote) We like to be treated as valued customers, not another number. We won't return.
