Our room was a nice and relaxing escape from the busy tourist areas. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk to the grocery store and a few restaurants as well as some of the main attractions of Florence. We especially enjoyed how quiet and spacious the room was. One of our favorite parts of the trip was meeting Rachel, who spent time answering our questions and telling us about all of the great things to see and do. Overall a great stay and we'd definitely return!

Rachele is simply put, the best!!! Residenza Marchesi is very comfortable, rooms are very spacious (apartment type) and they provide everything you may need. Location is very good, it isn’t in the heart of Florence which is ideal to avoid the crowds and noise but still close enough to everything - within walking distance to main places. Rachele is extremely attentive and accommodating, she makes feel at home!

It was my best selection to stay in Residenza Marchesi Pontenani! The room was very spacious and super clean!! I was very surprise how big it was for just two of us. The complimentary coffee and tea inside the room was plenty that we couldn't finish for three days of stay. The kitchen is really nice that I didn't think of cooking, but regretted that I didn't plan on it! The location is also great that many tour sites are within the walking distance. Best part was the Piazzale Michelangelo right in front of the hotel. I enjoyed the sunset and sunrise of Florence because the Piazzale Michelangelo was so close that I could easily reach the top of the hill!! The neighborhood was safe and quiet at night which was very comfortable to sleep during day and night. We only had one chance to meet the manager during the check-in since we were out and in during their office hours, but she was so kind and sweet and gave us a lot of information about good gelato, bakery, and pasta place that only Italian would know! We definitely plan to stay here next time when he have plan to comeback to Florence. It was absolutely a wonderful choice to stay here!
