Vila Galé Rio de Janeiro

The services provided by the hotel was really low. I checked in for the first night tired at 1 am, the first bedroom given had the flush broken. I have been reallocated to another bedroom with 2 single beds. The fridge wasn’t daily refilled So i had to go outside at 3am to buy some water, and in addition, the hover hasn’t been done during my entire stay. Let’s imagine the sand and the gliders on the floor. To close that, my bedroom was in front of the pool and the music as well as the services during the morning made some important noises.

While the property itself has a lot of potential, the rooms were incredibly old and smelly. The hotel itself wasn’t in great condition either. The only nice part of the hotel was the pool but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend the hotel itself. Location is good if you’re looking to explore Centro.

Hotel and grounds are very nice. Staff was wonderful and they have a parking garage right next door that they don’t mention. The local neighborhood looks a bit questionable to someone who isn’t a local but we never had any problems. I would definitely stay here again!

We thought this hotel was excellent, although we did pay a bit extra for one of the larger old building rooms. The only let down is the speed of service at reception. Check-out took circa 15 minutes, after 15 minutes waiting in a queue for the person in front to check out. Luckily we were only 2nd in the queue, we felt sorry for the 5 people behind us who were undoubtably going to be waiting along time!

Strange place .being in Central rio is out of the way. Great pool. Restaurant melds are buffet style so you get s good selection

Staff were great, very nice hotel in the Center of things. Easy to walk to everything in Lapa and the Centro. Was very grateful for such a nice hotel in this location.

There was some dust and cobwebs in our room corners when we first arrived, but other than that I LOVED this hotel. I loved the area -- walking distance to Lapa. It's a super local local neighborhood, so if you're looking for a tourist vibe, this isn't it. It's a cheap uber to Santa Teresa or down to Copacabana -- and even to the airport. The breakfast is good, and the pool is nice. I would for sure say here again!!

We stayed in some nice rooms on the second floor that were beautiful. Room service was great. Very happy. Traffic noise was a little noticeable in the morning but not bad. Not the greatest location but if you want to be in the center I’m not sure if it gets better.

Great location, feel safe, staff very helpful. Great BF, lots of choices. My room akways clean.

Great Hotel. I was satisfied.
