Hotel Suites Flamboyanes

We requested a non smoking room and they allocated a smoking room. After complaining we were moved to another room, this time it has a really mouldy bathroom. We asked for a clean room again and were told that there weren’t any more available. It also claims to be near the centre. It is not. We complained to Expedia and they moved us to a better hotel immediately. After a few days Expedia advises that they would refund our money.

This Hotel did not honor my confirmed booking that has been charged on my credit card! They claimed they did not have our reservation and did not work with Travelocity! They also said they had no rooms available so we were left stranded on a Friday evening. I am a mother and disabled veteran and had travelled far to Merida on two auto-buses with my two children. We were left stranded! Later, after great stress and anxiety of trying to find a room available last minute in the city and finding none available... I had to pay for a very expensive taxi home to the beach and leave Merida all together. This was a disgraceful experience and I feel swindled and robbed.

Overwleming smell of mold throughout hotel and room. No traffic noise but extremely noisy ventilators/extractors on & off 24 hrs. Located in industrial area. Not many places to go to eat without a car. Reception desk very helpful and friendly. Amenities good, but no free coffee in lobby. Management changes often

Cutomers friendliness... was good , The AC unit was to noisy and leak water

Air conditioner was directly above bed so I couldn't use it all night without getting a sore throat. Ceiling fan did not work. Was told by the staff it was just for decorative purposes as were all the ceiling fans. They brought me a floor fan and said I could change rooms the next day. The next day, a different person told me there were no other rooms. Then they said I could change that night. Well, they never changed my room. Elevator waa broken. Maybe it was decorative, too! Staff was friendly but not helpful with planning trips and giving information. Hotel was not in the center of town as stated. It was a long walk through iffy neighborhoods. The room was spacious but the bed had a 1 x 6 above the mattress that made sleeping difficult.
