Value for money, definitely recommended!!!

Lovely hotel, excellent location, only 2 minutes from the center!!! Very clean rooms, free wi-fi, nice variety in breakfast and the staff is very polite and willing to provide you your comfort.

Alright

Our room was crazy hot, the A/C did nothing. Smoking in hallways was kind of annoying too, but hey it's Europe. Barebones hotel but in a decent location. We got the hotel because our boat trip was cut short due to inclement weather.

good room, clean and tidy in a great location. Aircon was a little weak though. good for a quick stay and perfect if you have an early ferry the next day.

Friendly, well-appointed waterfront hotel

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, positioned a mere hand's-breadth away from ferry disembarkation and within easy walking distance of the centre of charming Ermoupoli. Very pleasant and quiet environment, and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was compact but quite comfortable. Buses to everywhere right next door. Good for the price. Breakfast buffet fairly standard - could have been a little more imaginative perhaps. Strolling out in the evening to one of the waterfront restaurants was a huge pleasure. Very, very pretty location.

Good hotel in nice location near harbourw

We stayed overnight on a shopping trip . The hotel was easy to find opposite the harbour with parking Our sea view room was well appointed with nice linen. Three big windows gave good views the windows were double glazed and had indoor shutters so you hear no outside noise . The bathroom though small was adequate and modern with usual toiletries. Our view ,we think the hotel could remove plastic shower curtain and leave as walk in wet room and a hang the shower head on a wall hook would be easier for customer use . The room and hotel areas were exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated . All the staff were extremely helpful and appeared to be happy in their work this was from front of house to breakfast staff . There is on offer in reception area a free night cap and a traditional sweet ,a nice touch . Now we come to breakfast with two nice eating areas to choose from again very clean and pleasant staff The big let down for us was the quality on offer, this was a buffet style ,my husband reported the cereals awful and the juices for a breakfast selection most unusual and not really juice , we were inthe land of oranges why not just serve that and forget the cheap substitute? The hot buffet though plugged in offered up cold mushrooms , sausages , cold fried eggs yuk !!! Oddly the spinach pie was warm as were the boiled eggs . Would we recommend here , YES but for the price we paid and the 4 stars it advertises we felt the breakfast was disappointing.

Great location with a wonderful view of harbour. A little noisy during the night. Breakfast was okay and included in cost. Shame we couldn't stay longer.

All-round excellent hotel - highly recommended

Everything was fantastic. The room was clean, modern and a good size with nice amenities. Our room had a beautiful view of the port and the Aegean beyond. The staff were exceptional, very polite and professional. Always ready to help, nothing was too much trouble. We had an incident with the wall mounted hairdryer not working, they gave us a standard one in the meantime and brought in an electrician to fit a new one the very morning. Couldn’t fault the service. Breakfast was very nice and tasty, good quality food with lots of variety. It’s close to everything, very close for getting a ferry or a bus, or for going into the town centre for shopping, eating, drinking and entertainment. The main beaches are a short bus ride away, although you can walk to one in the town. Everything about our stay was fantastic, we would go back any time and highly recommend Diogenis Hotel if you are planning a trip to Syros.

Fantastic location and service

Location is fantastic - everything is within 5 minutes walk and it is literally one minute from the boats drop off location. Room 201 was clean and modern. Only pitfall was the noisy shower head and it’s size - could barely fit in - but given the layout there was little they could do. Breakfast options and quality were ok, not really 5 star. But def value for money was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful - from 24 hour reception (eg you can leave your keys when going light out to the beach in the morning and to the club in the evening) to giving advice on where and how to go to places.

Overall everything was wonderful. The only reason I gave it a bit lower than a 5-star rating is because the mattress was not too soft so the comfort level was not high. Other than that, the hotel was really well kept, clean, and the staff was super nice.
