Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House

The front desk clerk Christine was amazing. She gave great recommendations for places to eat around the area and she was very friendly and accommodating. I read about the brown bag breakfasts before booking and I was expecting it to be awful but I thought they were well prepared and good (except the yogurt). There were numerous homeless people sleeping in the lobby of Bank of America on the corner by the hotel, but they didn’t really bother you. Everything is very walkable from this location or you could take the Metro. I only wish more things were open to see during my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this location and I will definitely stay again if I’m in the DC area.

The hotel was good but the parking opción was three block and I had to paid for parking

The place is okay. I would say it's probably because due to covid-19. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Our room hasn't been cleaned. The trash is piled up so I end up asking them for big trash bag and I end up collecting the garbage from the trash bins.i have to request for extra pillows and comforter because the comforter wan not that thick. The break fast could have been better. The breakfast is inside the brown paper bag, "doggie bag" containing 1 apple, juice, hogarth, and granola bar. That was not breakfast for me! But i will blame Covid-19 maybe. However, in the other hotels, they still serve buffet without having the customer to touch the food. They serve the food in a styro box. Not to mention I jumped out of the bed at 1 am because the stupid smoke detector went off. I thought there was a fire. Hahaha but it was just the detector low on battery. That occurred 2 nights in a row. But all in all, i will still use the hotel when covid is over. I am sure the place have better service to offer if no covid.

When I booked this hotel, description and pics were very attractive. Rates were not cheap. However when got off from our taxi, appearance is not the same as pics shown. Checked-in found out breakfast only grab and go brown bag. Room's layout is okay but needed to be cleaned better, no toiletories were provided. Many areas were chipped off. They had no daily maid service cleaning the room for you. You need to ask if you need clean towels or cleaning service. However when we asked for clean towels, the staff were not friendly and said no more clean towels were provided. Not sure the hotel is still under renovation, it was weird when first walked into the hotel, a huge empty space in the entrance into the bathroom. Quite disppointed.

The location is prime. However, the possibility about not having water is very problematic. Thankfully, we did not run into the issue and just dodged not having water. But still, call ahead to make sure the water is not shut down during your stay. Concierge and staff are helpful, the provided breakfast is a bag containing a muffin/pastry, apple juice, a yogurt, and a banana. So quite a basic breakfast - thankfully there are plenty of places to eat around, including a Starbucks at the corner. The location and cost are unmatched, however. The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. A good option if the water is running (strange as that may sound!).

Wouldn’t stay again. Though staff was nice and helpful, the property needs to be better taken care of, blinds were missing during our stay with windows overlooking a busy street, and water in the bathroom would not heat up properly to take a shower or a bath... Coffee maker wasn’t properly cleaned. Staff was friendly and trying to help though.

Room smelled like weed soooo bad. As we were walking to our room we could smell some in the hallway, which was annoying but not a deal breaker. Then as we proceeded to open our door it we got blasted with the smell. It was so strong it was as if someone was in the other side of the door blowing it in our faces. Thankfully the lady at the front desk didn’t give us to hard of a time and we were placed in another room.

I didn't like the property. I had more expectations and the truth was that for the price it didn't meet what was expected

The location was great. However, we received a memo one day informing us the water would be shut off from 10:30pm to 3:30am. However, waking up the next morning, still no water and we had to go somewhere without brushing our teeth, The free breakfast was not very good, yogurt warm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would of liked a shuttle to and from the airport. But being in city that had a good metro made up a little bit for that.
