Casa La Cartujita

This hotel has a zen-like ambiance with wonderful personal service. The roof top soaking pool, included made to order breakfast, and charming feel, all make this a great place to stay within the walled old city.

Proved to be a very nice hotel that was well located. It did everything right from a necessities point of view (which is the most important) but felt a bit lacking in personality or the communal spaces. The good: great location; air conditioning was top notch; very clean and good bathroom facilities. The not so good: felt rather cramped; the pool is tiny and awkwardly located - I viewed it as unusable and didn’t see anyone else in it; in the first day I got back to my room in the middle of it being cleaned - a mop was still there, but the cleaning person was gone and the door was left open - at no point did the place feel unsafe but that shouldn’t have happened. All in all, it was a good stay, but not great - would ideally find a place with a pool that could be used.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa La Cartujita. It is located just a block away from the bustling Plaza de San Diego and about a block north of more busy tourist traffic. A perfect location on a picture perfect street. The hotel is pleasant and clean. Our room was modern, comfortable and clean plus the AC worked quite well to cool us off from the heat and humidity. The staff was pleasant and helpful from greeting us at the door to helping coordinate a day trip and transportation to/from the airport. Oscar and Celine were really helpful and awesome during our stay. The cooks were really wonderful and cooked a fabulous breakfast each day of our stay with a choice of 3 tasty options (American, healthy and typical Colombian). We event enjoyed the roof top jacuzzi which was a nice respite from the busy city and heat. It was a perfect location in a lovely city.

We LOVED our stay at the Casa! It was the perfect piece of paradise. Centrally located, steps away from the hustle and bustle. Service was outstanding and the room and hotel was stunning! We cannot wait to return.

This hotel was a dream . From the moment they open their doors to you as a guest , they open their hearts. They serve you with sincere joy. The facilities are impecable, attention to details are superb. Located in a very beautiful street of the Old part of the city, near great restaurants, great shopping and a vibe that makes you feel part of the Cartagena everyday life. La Cartujita will always be remember as one if the Crown Jewels of our 14 days in Colombia .

Great hotel, great staff, perfect location inside the walls and next to great nightlife !

The rooms were great. Staff and service were superb! I fell and injured myself and they were so attentive. I was really nervous about healthcare in another country. They sent medics to care for me in my room and stayed with me to translate and make sure I was ok and even arranged to send out for my prescriptions, so I could rest. Working in the industry myself, I have become very particular in service standards and this team met every criteria and then some. I will always remember their hospitality.

Beautiful hotel , the property is centrally located it’s short walk to most of the historical landmarks. The hotel is very clean . The staff is very helpful.

Nathaly and Oscar were really nice and made us feel welcome. They were understanding of my younger brother who can be loud at times, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. There were good breakfast options and the food was great. No issues with the air conditioning and it was nice to come back to our rooms from the hot and sometimes humid weather outside. The rooms smelled wonderful and the soaps and shampoos provided were of good quality. Will reconsider for the future.

The staff gave me wonderful restaurant recommendations and so helpful about everything. Highly recommend staying here.
