Costa Alegre Hotel & Suites

I was charged extra and front desk people were really rude. I felt like I was verbally attacked by four people at the reception area. Next time I will go elsewhere and not use hotels.com bc I contacted them and they also said they couldn’t do anything, they left my family stranded.

We have stayed at this place a few times and it’s always well cared for and this last trip even shows some improvements like drinks in the refrigerator and candy on the table, the only thing that could use a little help is the elevator, it’s not their fault, there is a sign that says you shouldn’t use it if you’re wet but people do anyway.

needs major renovation. food is poor quality. chef only shows up before service of food. I was charged extra on a per person charge instead of per room. Expedia needs to stop listing this hotel. father in law had not even handed the keys to the room when construction crew walked into the room and say the door had to be fixed right then and now but there was no urgent need to all that needed to happen eas for the worker to wait for the checkout. rooms have sewer smell which staff said they are planning on a fix. As mentioned the extra unexpected charge was what made my stay terrible.

The beach was wonderful for long walks. There were many venders on the beach, but they were not after you to buy which was great. The hotel is all inclusive with all Mexican food which is what we expected. The hamburger was a pleasant surprise. Snack bar with pizza open all the time. When we were there most of the American/ Canadian tourists were gone so Mexican people mainly. They provided musical entertainment and games.You are in the town so walked and bought gifts in the stores . Taxi is very inexpensive so went to another town for the market. Streets are cobble stone so need to be careful walking.

Oceanfront property. The Mexicans seemed to enjoy it. Noisy and not very clean.

First room had a broken window. We were mived to a nice ocean view room. Right on a nice beach and walkable to town. Good dri ks and always found nice meal items at the buffet.

Great location, but Buffet food was warm at best, only 1 bar and 1 bartender for kids and adult drinks. Snack bar food was terrible. WiFi was mediocre. The loud music started at 7:30 am and ends at 11:00pm. Only plus is great beach front, clean rooms, and friendly staff.

Not for the solo traveler, this is definitely for Spanish speaking families. Excited loud children everywhere. Staff friendly and helpful.

The food is really good. The locación is perfect, on the beautiful beach. The personal is courteous and serviceable. The installations need maintenance like AC not blowing cold air in the rooms. No phones in the rooms, no wi-fi in the rooms.

You won't get a better all-inclusive resort for the price. Plus, we booked the hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a complimentary ocean view room! Highly recommend!
