Orange Drive Hostel

It's a nice hostel in a super location for those wanting to visit seedy Hollywood Blvd Walk of Stars. The hostel is clean, with a friendly staff. In days of Covid bathrooms should be provided with paper towels and sanitized wipes so users can clean up after themselves since bathroom are shared.

Clean and close to everything. The stuffs are nice and helpful.

I stayed in this hostel for about 6 nights (extended it for 1 night). The hostel was very accommodating, staff were very nice, the location was perfect and overall vibe was very chill. Below is a long honest review. Initially I was hesitant to stay here because I don't trust hostels in general, even though I was to stay in a private room. But after reading other reviews and noticing near perfect rating of the place I decided to give it a try without much anticipation. Not to mention how affordable this place was considering its central location. As we arrive (me and my boyfriend) we noticed that the estate was kind of unmarked, the building was very large and seemed too residential. We had a private room in the third floor and was fairly sized. The room was very clean, had lots of closet space, A/C, two windows, small armchair and extra duvet in the closet. Bathroom was shared but was extraordinarily clean as well. Door definitely had a lock and a key. The hostel has a beautiful and modest outdoor seating, a small lounge next to the kitchen where everybody stores their food and often cooks their own food. It felt very homey. There's laundry services, you can do your own for 6$. There are free lockers, free wifi and free coffee, tea and some breakfast offered in the morning. There were lots of guests hanging out within and around the hostel, the social atmosphere felt very cozy. The estate is in one block distance to Hollywood Blvd. but it wasn't loud or crowded.

It's in a great location with basic amenities. The staff are always friendly and the place is generally quiet. I've stayed here a few times before and will probably stay here again.

It was a very quite and home like. Love the place will return for sure. people were nice and staff were great.

Great history and old Hollywood glam! Marilyn Monroe & other a-listers stayed there in the 30s when it was a boarding house. They have some cool decorations and antique telephones. Just a block away from the Chinese theatre and beside the Magic Castle, but a nice quiet respite from the busy neighbourhood.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Orange Drive Hostel at the heart of Hollywood for the modest price. I thought there might be no people in there, to arrange stuff. But, there were beautiful caring people, willing to listen, and to help.

best location. no lift. tough for luggage handing (3 storeys) kitchen is too small to cater the crowd.

The staffs are very helpful, and also the location was great, just behind the walk of fame. A small suggetion is put more power plugs in the room, specially for those who are staying on the above bed.

A beautiful hostel and a great value. This is a nice, quiet getaway in the middle of crazy, bustling Hollywood.
