Great snorkelling. Nice restaurant especially Burmese green tea salad and vegetarian options. Nice staff. Rooms a bit dated but comfortable. Good wifi, no television but beautiful views and spacious balcony. Right on beach.

Peace of paradise right next to the beach

We ended up and stayed there for ten nights and had a great time. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly and helpful, the food is great, the restaurant is cozy, the beach is beautiful and quiet. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday on Koh Tao.

An amazing stay

We we're able to snorkel or lounge all day at a near private beach and eat delicious and reasonably priced food. Friendly staff, too!

Great hotel to go snorkelling

We stayed there for two days only to go snorkelling. For this activity the hotel is in the perfect spot between two of the best snorkelling sites. Good to see black tip reef sharks on one site (to the right site) and corals and fishes on the other site (the next bay in the left site). U can although see plenty of fish in the bay direct in front of the hotel. The room was clean and the service good. The hotel restaurant and beach bar are good too. Currently there are a lot of construction ongoing that's why there is a lot of building materials around and the hotel site is a bit messy. Only real complain we had is that the pillows are really hard... Should be changed... Anything else was good Note: u can book a lot of activities and transit direct at the hotel - big plus since the hotel location is pretty remote.

The good: 1. The receptionist is very polite and helpful 2. The reception lounge offers best view of the bay, very nice. 3. It offers three free hammocks and a wooden swing which attracts my kids for sure. The room is a bit outdated, the bed does not look so clean and towels and sheets are old. The room is very dim-lit. The food is ok. Price is probably 50% higher than the pier. The charge to rent a life jacket is 100 baht per-person per day, by far the most expensive place to rent a life jacket in Koh Tao, although the life-jacket itself costs only 300 baht if you buy from the pier. And they don't have kids life-jacket, which in most cases, that is what is needed. All other places we went rented for 50 baht per day with better size selections. The reef nearby is not so beautiful at all if you plan to snorkel there. So we ended up paying the most for renting the life-jackets but seeing the least underwater.

Beautiful Views!

Coral View Resort is a very lovely place and the views are amazing. The resort is located a little far from town. Renting a motorbike is an option but keep in mind the hills to the resort are very steep. I would be scared to drive anything down or up the hills. You can walk into town, we did this a few times but as I mentioned steep hills are not as enjoyable. We scheduled for the hotel to pick us up from the Pier. The e-mail I received mentioned the hotel would have a sign with my name on it upon arrival. Well once we arrived my name was not on the board however other names were listed. I approached the guy because I saw “Coral View Resort”, and he pulled out a piece of paper with my name written on it (Not that big of a deal but if you arrange transportation and don’t see your name ask). We were given a well kept and clean bungalow. Wifi did not work in our room it seemed only in the bar and restaurant it would work. The beach was okay. I guess I was expecting a sandy beach and walking out into the water there is a lot of dead coral so it’s a little bit of a challenge to watch where you step. My boyfriend did some snorkeling he said it was nice. Overall, the hotel is fine and the food is really good. It is a little pricier for food than in town. Staff for the most part were friendly.

It was a nice hotel close to the beach.

We were picked up at the pier which was unexpected, when we arrived and checked in the manager gave us a upgrade right on the beach, the room was lovely. The snorkelling out front of the hotel was great, I saw 3 sharks.

Lovely Stay - Great Snorkelling

Stayed here for two nights in December. 2015! Had a really nice time! Was very relaxing and the snorkelling was absolutely amazing! So many fish and the water was incredibly clear! Staff were super friendly and a couple of them lived in America so had perfect English! Only downside was the Internet was slow and there was no phone reception as behind a mountain and I needed it to work, but really if I wasn't working I wouldn't have cared as the place is so gorgeous! :)

Great location for long vacation

Beautiful location right across from the shark island. Saw reef shark snorkeling of from the beach. Cons. The location is pretty isolated needed a taxi to get to town
