Nowy Efendi Hotel - Special Class

Stayed here for 5 nights with 3 friends and would definitely stay again if I went back to Istanbul. The property is in an amazing location, literally a 3-4 min walk from the main tourist areas. The hotel is clean and the staff are brilliant, Burcu and Dindar looked after us very well! The breakfast is decent but nothing special. We had 2 twin rooms and both were decent size. The view from the terrace is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Good well run hotel in ideal location. Excellent service. Good Turkish breakfast. Smaller clean rooms with good modern facilities and comfortable bed. Would recommend to friends. Not good for people with mobility issues.

Nice hotel within walking distance of the sights of Istanbul and great restaurants

We are a family of 3. Had booked the double connecting rooms with attached bathrooms for 7 days. Love the staff here, they were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Recommends us tours and places to eat. Breakfast was ok. Credits to front staff Umut, Dindar, Burcu,Anil, Mustafa and Asiye from housekeeping which we didn’t get to meet but kept our rooms clean and tidy. The ladies in the kitchen and the manager as well. We were given the IstanbulKart upon arrival and returned it when we leave with some leftover credits. This is paid it forward. Love the people, love the country.

Great location. Brilliant view of hagia sofia from the rooftop of the hotel. 7 mins walking distance from grand bazar. Hotel room was clean however the water cleaning system in the toilet was broken. Also the tap for this was on the left hand side which i found highly strange for a muslim country. Room size was tiny - not big enough for two people we actually had to move some furniture which blocked the door whilst in the room. Has a terrace restuarant. Breakfast was sub standard. Extra fee applied to order omelettes. Ordered shisha on the first day but burnt out within 5 mins as no foil was used. My friend then had to make our own shisha after finally being allowed and then used our own equipment for it. In all fairness its good value for money and great location. I would suggest picking a bigger room size eg family room if its more than 1 person travelling.

Mi estadia por este hotel fue excelente,bien ubicado en area de Sultan Ahmet todo cerca santa Sofia,metro, mezquita azul,gran bazar etc... El servicio y amabilidad de los empleados,y un servicio de desayuno muy bueno....lo recomiendo ampliamente por sus habitaciones comodas y limpias, todo remodelado.

Friendly staff, great location. Rooms are little small for 2 people.

Location was good for the ferry. Too much effort for staff to process our passports and had to ask when we would receive our passports back, so that prompted the staff to check us in then and there.

Great choice of hotel in the Sultanahmet area. Value for money and located in a quiet street. Its about 5 mins walk from the Tram station. We loved our stay and the breakfast is nice and was open 7.30 to 11am during the summers, which is very useful if you want to get our early for sun rise photos by the sea and be back for breakfast! Its also equally in between Blue Mosque/Sofia, Spice Market and Grand Bazaar, making it possible to walk to all of them easily. Also close to Eminonu (the ferry terminal for ferries to Asia side etc.). People with wheelchair may have access issues, it has lift but you need to go down a few steps to the lobby and lift area. So some insight for those needing a hotel with no steps access.

Very centrally located, very friendly staff and room in good condition. Would definitely stay there again
