Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa

Great sea views, very clean and well presented. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Great location, nice view of the harbour, restaurant was nice, free parking. Paid extra for sea view room which we got, but the room was so so tired and the furniture was beyond its service life. The windows did not seal and had to lay towels on the window sill to reduce the wind coming in. Lots of mould around the bath. Amusingly there was an 80’s style minibar cabinet with the swivel top for the old style television.... but there was no fridge in it and the tv had long since gone?! An empty carcass Bizzare! Room was freezing and had to ring reception to “unlock” the heater controls.... in October! Lots of pleasant staff but upon informing them on checkout you got the feeling that they’d heard it a million times before and it was acceptable. Shame. This is supposed to be a best western PLUS after all.

The room was not anything like they are depicted as on the websites and adverts. Very old furniture, dated bathroom, the double bed was small would have expected a king which would fit into where the bedsides were, the pictures show these marvellous bedrooms which only are the sea view rooms, only the ground floor and a hand full of bedrooms have actually been refurbished the remaining rooms haven’t been touched for a while other than a splash of paint. The actual ground floor of the hotel is elegant and the restaurant was nice just need to sort their bedrooms out to a better standard as they are not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Was very disappointed to be honest and don’t feel the room was worth £71 per night. I felt like I had gone back in time.

Very lovely hotel right next to the harbor and beach. Slightly disappointed the spa was not open. Staff were friendly and helpful though very few guest wearing masks inside the hotel. In fact besides the staff my partner and I were about the onlys ones I saw wearing them. We stayed in the Castle Suite which was clean, spacious and very nice. Though with the room space a larger bed would have been nice instead of the double. The onsite restaurant had nice food and reasonably priced. Check in and out was quick and easy. The hotel could use a more thorough clean throughout and twice we saw a spoon on the stairs when coming downing poking out of the carpet. We did inform reception as it caused a bump in the carpet on steep stairs and someone could easily trip however after 3 nights staying it was still there on check out and reminded them again of the hazard.

Location is very big plus for this hotel. However I wouldn't give it 4*. Bed very uncomfortable, aircon set on 18 degrees - room temp 24, TV nice and big but signal terrible so movie stopped after 5 minutes. I had better staycation in 3* hotels

Had a very good experience. Staff vary friendly. Food very good.Hotel can do with some upgrading but the friendliness of staff and cleanliness off the hotel makes up for that. I will recommend the hotel to anyone. Cannot wait for my next trip

Great customer experience and advice on what we could do locally. Just issue with changing sheets and cleaning toilet, it would be nice

Pleasant, helpful staff. Very comfy bed & exceptionally clean room. We stayed during Covid & the staff did their best to accommodate a late booking for us to eat. Mr Whites was fully booked, so we ate in the bar to lovely food & amazing service. Great view from our sunny, bright, good size room.

Excellent location, requested an updated room but got a dated room instead..floor not vacuumed properly.. lightbulbs mismatched, wood chipping from door. Great staff assistance and parking is provided. Busy restaurant downstairs!
