This hotel was very good value for money since breakfast and dinner were included. It is within walking distance of the old city and a good location. The bathroom needs some work to update and was very small. The sea view was okay, but the chairs and table on the balcony should be thrown out and needed updating. I was told I had to pay a 10Euro deposit for the key to a safe, but when I checked out they said no we don't do that, but since I was given no receipt, well did someone pocket the money? This island is busy, I wouldn't go there in peak season it would be crazy, but is well worth the visit.

Great choice Hotel has a very small ice cold Swimming pool but a nice place to sunbathe when too hot for sightseeing

We had a sea view room and the view was excellent. The location is ideal for both beach and sightseeing in the old town. And for wonderful walks or jogging along the coast towards Axia.

A tourist trinket theme park!!!

The hotel has a great view and rooms very clean and comfortable. Th surrounding environment has reasonable beach but is seriously let down by the road traffic that never stops even at night time, hordes of people and beggars ready to accepts you.We had to sleep with the doors closed and zircon on. There are often fast motorbikes using the road that have little regard for pedestrians. The service and comfort was very good at the hotel and they were accommodating. The breakfast was reasonable.Dinner on half board are taken at a nearby hotel. While we had a short stay of three days any longer would have been intolerable as the surrounding area is very commercial / touristy and Rhodes itself has transformed into a tourist trinket theme park! The cruises have certainly had a impact. We would not go back

Perfect stay

Friendly comfortable not luxury but I loved it staff were so helpful and friendly. Hotel needs a little TLC but immaculately clean. Location is ideal, stones throw from beach ten minutes from old town and centre.

Ideally located for the beach. Pool small and not in the sun until mid-day during September. Nice coffee at breakfast and plenty of choice so long as you don't want English sausages. My room did not have a balcony but the large windows allowed in plenty of light. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Dinner is served at the sister hotel approx. 5 mins walk. Safe, wi-fi and air con all free. I have booked for next year!

I booked a room with partial sea view. Front desk gave me keys to a room overlooking an alleyway with a tiny impractical shower. When I told them the room I booked supposed to have a partial sea view and asked for a new one, they changed my room immediately. In the beginning, I was not impressed, but they acted promptly therefore I cannot complain and can say that I’m happy with the service. The pictures of the newly renovated rooms on the hotel page I believe the ones with sea view. So people who think that they will get that rooms should book a sea view room to avoid disappointment. Other rooms are a bit dated but still clean and above Greek island standards.

The reception staff are excellent, having our check in slightly delayed (we didn't complain) by the late check out of the previous room occupant, we were offered a free lunch by way of compensation for what was minimal inconvenience. The room was clean, comfortable and as expected of a Mitsis hotel. Three minor points to be aware of, none of which are complaints, more for the benefit of being forewarned: 1. If you are offered a room on the top 7th floor, the lift only takes you as far as the 6th - the remainder of the journey upwards is via a 17step stairway. with heavy luggage this could be a problem. 2. The small pool area is provided with a total number of 12 sunbeds - for a hotel containing hundreds of guests. It's opposite the beach so not far to walk if you're a sun worshipper but then you're going to pay for such luxuries. 3. Be aware that if staying half or full board, only breakfast is served in the LaVita. Lunch and dinner requires a 3 minute walk to it's sister hotel the Petit Palais, crossing a busy road twice in the progress and negotiating large kerbstones on the way. Not ideal if you have small children or mobility issues. No complaints though, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

I was surprised to have a room not similar to the one booked online. I have booked a room with sea view and i was given a room with partial sea view although the hotel employees and manager insist that its a sea view room. When i asked to change my room i was told to wait for the morning and they will give me exactly the room shown on the expedia booking. We had no other options than to wait till today. However on the other we were offered another room also different from what is shown online (smaller balcony no 180 degrees sea view - on the side of the building). Im fealing disappointed and upset at the beginning of my trip by not getting what i paid for around 20$/night extra charge for the sea view. Luckily i have booked other hotels for my stay in Rhodes but till today it is a very bad experience for me and my wife.
