Gran Hotel De Jaca

We were so pleased to have chosen this hotel for a one night stay, whilst en-route from our home in the Costa Blanca, Spain to the UK. From checking in to checking out we were treated with the upmost courtesy. We were shown to our room with the receptionist carrying our bags for us, as there were a few steps to climb and he could obviously see that my husband has walking problems. The room was clean and large, with air conditioning which adjusted at the touch of the switch, which was just what we needed with the outside temperature being 37.5 degrees at 6pm!! The hotel is located just off a Main Street which has a great choice of drinking and eating places, but not so close as to be a nuisance to you in your room. A great Spanish atmosphere awaited us here. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of fresh juices, fresh fruit, cereals, cooked meats, fresh tasty bread, tomatoes, jams you name it. The waitress served us with fresh coffee at our table, and even offered to toast the bread for us in the kitchen. Would recommend this refurbished hotel to all.

The room was very noisy. You could hear other people in the corridors and next door rooms. The hotel is very well placed to wander round the town.

It's a great hotel to stop at overnighton the way. Excellent service. Breakfast was good and the room was very good. It's right in the centre of Jaca and walking distance into the town with lots of restaurants/bars. Not far from the tunnel through to France.

Went into town and found a lovely tapas restaurant.

Very well situated. You can walk to the castle and to a very nice restaurant area. This is a nice spot for a sinple mountain adventure. I Was told that is special in winter.

We asked for the same room when rebooking a second day, where told OK, when in hotel was given another far inferior room without a view, then we where told to wait 3 hours until 3pm and a room with a view would be ready, at three we where given a room without a view anyway. Very annoying experience.

Stayed in this hotel a few times, so we know it well and enjoy staying there, but this time we were in the older part and small items in the room were not working or 'tired'. This was not enough to put us off, although the Spanish couple sending their children to play in the corridor and the noisy students out back might! Rest of the hotel is looking good after the revamp and would recommend their breakfast.
