Hotel Cathedrale

The location of this hotel was perfect, however, the room we chose thru your site with a courtyard or attic room was NOTHING like the picture on your website. In fact, the first room they showed us was not much bigger than my closet and rather shabby, and to see the courtyard you'd have to stick your head out the window. After complaining, the next room was called a twin had 1 bed on 1 floor and the next up a long set of stairs. In all my years of travel, I have never run across a more disagreeable clerk. He may have been the manager. We finally were able to upgrade to a better room that looked more like the one pictured on your website for a courtyard or attic view. This miserable clerk quoted an extra $30 per night but when I went to pay and he was not on duty, the actual charge was $ 25 per night (deceptive, huh) Perhaps he doesn't like Americans or women. Don't know what his problem is, but we'd never stay there again because of this poor example of hospitality and lack of honesty. Every one of the other people who worked there were very pleasant. The dining room in the picture must have been taken by a super photographer.

Great location, excellent staff. The hotel needs some updates, but is overall very nice.

While the location of this hotel is excellent - it is in the square with the cathedral, Christmas market, etc, I was disappointed with the property given it was not as advertised. We were given a room in a apartment/hotel building down the block from the lobby check-in with outdated room amenities, terrible pillows, etc. given that we weren’t even in the main hotel building, I could have just as easily got an Airbnb in the area
