Comfort Inn & Suites Texas City

I have no complaints about our stay. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the breakfast had good variety. The parking was well lit. We will definitely stay here again.

Had a Christmas cruise booked for the next day and saw reviews it wasn’t too far from port. My 5yr old daughter threw up cough syrup onto the blanket from the closet, since she was sleeping on the sofa bed. So at checkout I asked if there was a cleanup fee for that. The middle eastern man up front said if they couldn’t clean it, it would be $50.00. I didn’t press the issue and said I understood. Later as we are boarding the ship, Middle eastern man called my phone to say the room was missing a pillow and if I didn’t return it I would be charged. I denied ever taking a pillow, we’re boarding a 7 day cruise - luggage packed to the max WHY would we need to steal a pillow. The man was super rude and I told him I didn’t have time to argue I was busy getting on the cruise and to charge what he wanted. After coming home, checked balance, was never charged. On another note: Breakfast was 5/10 super clean, not many options. Also, the night shift lady was super sweet and nice.

To start off... the staff in this hotel are terrific. Very very friendly. However the rooms themselves were dated. Paint peeling off walls and the AC unit made a horrible noise all night. I complained about this to the night auditor (the only unfriendly one) to no success. Also there was a 100 security deposit that I was unaware of before checking in. Apparently this isn't charged to everyone because there was confusion at check out as to whether I was charged or not and how to reverse it

It was a good stay. Excellent and comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. The only thing I could complain about were the pillows weren’t that comfortable. But other than that everything was great.
