Awful hotel.

AWFUL. There were ants all over the room, even in our beds!! Mold in the bathroom, wifi barely worked, tv lagged non stop, and parking two blocks away.

A unique staying during covid. There was no one manning the front desk, however the GM went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed and felt comfortable with the stay. Hotel was really sweet and exactly what it was advertised as. We were traveling with our 8 and 11 year old, so the room lay out of having a separateiving room space was very handy! There wasn't any one else staying in the hotel the first night so it was very quiet. However, the sound does travel a lot as it's an old building. We could hear the other guest the next night quite a bit. But thats just part of staying in an old building. The proximity to Winter Carnaval activities, dining, the funicular, etc. was terrific. We would certainly stay here again!

Room was very nice. Television was not working wasn’t told in advance when asked about it was told they were changing service providers. Funny thing only my room had no service.

Horrific, No Commitment to Quality, Obnoxious FD

Upon check-in the two ladies at the front desk (FD) were very nice; however, the remaining staff (especially the night front desk man, was extremely rude and not helpful. Our tv did not work upon check-in. We reported it to the FD prior to unpacking. The service man showed up without a mask (during omicron) and said no; maybe tomorrow it will be fixed and left us a small bottle of wine. The next day we skied and returned to relax and watch tv. The tv still did not work. We reported to the FD; to be told that some tv stopped working prior to Christmas, yet the same FD rude man was watching his loudly. The issue I have is that we should have been advised of this prior yo checking-in. We booked our room with certain services and did not get them. After skiing a long day; all we wanting was yo relax and watch tv to assist us learning French. No effort was made by the hotel to assist in correcting this. They wouldn’t change our room, didn’t advise hot.com of their problem and pretended to fix an issue with deception from the start. Our requests were ignored completely. We skied Dec 31; to return to our paid parking spot and they sold it to someone else. Our final night, we did not have our paid parking spot and the rude front desk man said “what do you want me yo do about it?”He did nothing and returned yo watching his tv that worked. If it had not been for the kindness of strangers; we would not have been made aware of the curfew, all restaurants closed at 5pm and grocery.

Great location to walk anywhere in the "old" part of the city....within the walls. All the staff we spoke to were pleasant, helpful, and they all spoke english. Nice and clean.

The hotel was very nice, the rooms were smaller then expected and online it said the spa area was open but wasn’t once we got there, was also difficult to get parking

Worst hotel stay of my life

First of all: this review is for hotel Acadia and Hotel Ermitage because apparently they own bOTh buildings but dont care a squat about hotel Ermitage or its residents. After almost 5 years of not being able to go anywhere due to medical conditions and covid, was excited to finally visit Quebec city (a lifetime goal). I went there with my 3 year old...checked in late at night to a freezing room. Complained for 2 days with emphasis that i had a toddler before i was given a space heater which took a long time to heat up the room so had to turn it on early . And, surprise surprise, when space heater came, the regular heat turned off. So not that much of a difference. Just stayed bundled up in sweaters all night long or visited my sister's hotel which had heat. 2 days into our stay came the freezing rain..and a leak on our ceiling. Kept a bucket for that. Checked every day if my kid had a fever. AND Clogged sink! FORGET about the ICY DANGEROUS STEPS to get in and out of the building. For whiCh we had to go and TELL THEM to put salt on it. But apparently no one followed up because it wasnt even enough salt. It was the only sidewalk with scary icy path in the whole block. And im walking with a toddler. I have to go in person to complain and when i do and when i state where i am, they say "oh hotel.ermitage" yes that hotel across the st that you dont apparently care about. Made my whole stay miserable. My sister paid same price and got free breakfast and heat Waste of money!!!
