We were greatly surprised when we were asked to follow the owner's wife's car to a little "cottage." The "cottage" turned out to be an immaculate, small building in the backyard of someone's house in a neighborhood. Amen.

I was assured that my room had a king and a queen bed. This is what I was promised by the Expedia agent on the phone. I had 4 people to house and this was what was needed. When I got there my room was a queen or a king. I had to pay extra to get 2 full size beds. I will not be staying at Barons again. I will not trust what an expedia rep confirms for me.

Older motel type that looks more worn out on outside than in rooms. Small place but room was large recently remodeled and clean. No amenities like breakfast or restaurant but close to town and next door to great Italian restaurant. Would stay again

Adorable place.
The hotel was perfect for the price. We weren’t looking for anything fancy because we planned on being out of the room and mostly just needed a comfortable place to sleep, which we did. The 2 little bars right across from us were so quaint and everyone was so nice and welcoming. The coastal town of Fairhope is absolutely adorable. I think this hotel is a great deal for the money and in spite of the somewhat outdated room and structure, I would definitely stay again.

The facility was quite old and it showed. There is a reason only the sign is showed in the photo. The view is looking away from the property not toward the property. The bathroom smelled musty and wreaked of mold. Staff was friendly. If you are looking for a morning coffee you won'y find it in your room nor in the lobby. Disappointing.

The room was clean. I’ll say that. It was dated, but the area was very nice. We were there only one night as we headed further south and familiar chain hotels were booked. The are is super cute and very nice. The hotel is just old.

Diamond in the Rough
While this property doesn't scream 5 stars from the outside, the room itself was very pleasant, clean and quiet. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The bathroom products were amazing. Will def be staying again next time in area.
