Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Dejaron mucho que desear, obtuve el VIP todo incluido y no se de que se trataba eso, para empezar pedia servicio al cuarto y tardaba mucho mas de lo que me decían, tenia que hablar para recordarles de mi orden y cuando llegaba estaba frio e incompleto. Era imposible comer en un restaurante de lo que tenia que esperar, pedia hacer reservación y no me daban la opción. La lis ta de alimentos super limitada. Pedi el servicio de un mesero en la playa y nunca llego (y eso que era en el bar BarAcuda que es considerado VIP) si estuviera todavía en el hotel siguiera esperando al mesero. En conclusión pésimo servicio y para mi punto de vista no es considerado VIP y no vale la pena pagar un todo incluido.

All was good, considering the current pandemic. Saw frequent sanitizing. Unfortunately, the buffet was limited. Doing mostly a la cart service. AGain, considering the circumstances, all was good!

With all the amazing reviews I was excited to stay here. It’s not that our stay was bad. It just wasn’t great, or worth what we paid in my opinion. The resort itself is pretty old and somewhat dated. There are broken tiles everywhere and umbrellas were worn and often broken around the pool. I would say at least a quarter of the pool chairs are also broken. I stayed for a week with my girlfriend. We’re in our 30s and were easily the youngest people there minus the large amount of children. The older crowd wakes up at 5am to go stake their claim to the pool chairs. So even on our vacation when I wanted to sleep in I had to wake up and go put towels out near the pool so that we’d have a place to relax later. The pool staff isn’t good about policing this policy either as numerous times the chairs around us were “taken” yet no one ever came to sit in them. This is definitely a resort for an older crowd or a family with kids. There was no music near the pool and no swim up bar which would have been nice. The food was okay. Again not terrible but also not that good and very repetitive. After I week I didn’t even want to look at the food anymore. The dinner restaurants all required shirts with sleeves and some even collared shirts for men. We were turned away and had to change numerous times. Considering the quality of the food I didn’t think the strict dress code was worth it. Each restaurant has a very minimal pre fix menu for dinner so you have about 5 things to choose from.

Service is outstanding. The gym is in bad shape. Needs more space and new equipment. There is NO basketball court - there is a hoop in between the pools and lounge chairs where no basketball can be played. They have a discriminatory dress code: while women can wear whatever they want, men have to wear short WITH SLEEVES even at the outdoor restaurant. Most family members had food poisoning at one point during our stay.
