Grand Hotel Oriente

It was an average hotel - 2 stars. No amenities and the staff did not seem at all interested in ensuring good service. Staff provided average service. The only virtue was the breakfast - very good options and great service there.

I had a good stay. The hotel was in a good location and was very well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, easy walking distance to plenty of bars restaurants shops and the metro line. Staff were professional and friendly, breakfast was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable although the mattress was a little hard for my taste. A few small things in the room - coffee facilities and an iron would have been good, a couple of lights not working, fan in the bathroom not operational and the hairdryer was poor but did the job. These small things however did not spoil the overall stay. A special mention to the views from the roof top restaurant - stunning.

The hotel is great, good rooms, quiet and great located. Very good service. The only complain is that the WiFi is very bad.

Good location... friendly and helpful staff, rooms were very comfortable and clean. Close to the port for those that are taking a cruise or returning from a cruise. And it’s only 25-30 min from Naples Intl Airport.

Our recent stay for three nights was a great one. Check in was quick. Friendly staff from Reception, Porter, breakfast, bar to chambermaids. Clean and quite hotel considering how central the hotel is. Short walk to shops, Metro and restaurants. Would have liked a kettle in the room for a hot drink. I would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed overnight a day so as to be in Naples for flight next day after our vacation. Check-in was quick as was check-out. Brought or bags up to our room and called us a taxi to airport. Made sure we were aware of taxi flat rates, even though I was, in order not to be overcharged. Only complaints were no sheet on bed (from US) and while on 8th floor there was a good amount of noise from 9th floor bar chairs/tables moving around, which went to at least 11pm

Wish photos properly showed regular rooms. We booked off of the nice new updated photos on Expedia and received a room with all the old furnishings and extremely dirty and stained carpet everywhere. The bathroom amenity shelf was also dirty. Also, the booking notes the room would have soundproof windows, however this was opposite from our experience and there was loud noise from the street all night with what appeared to be loud yelling, fireworks, and drums (sounded like striking, but through the entire night). This happened on a Friday night - we checked in on Fri. Sept. 13 around 7:45 pm and left early the following morning for an early am flight. We wanted to spend some extra money for a nicer hotel than many of the cheaper ones and felt like we didn’t get our $ worth - If anything we received worse cleanliness than the basic hotel.
