Salmakis Resort & Spa

We went during Covid and didn’t have the best experience. The staff was not great with mask with a lot wearing their masks improperly and exposing their nose. Super unorganized and unpleasant with a run down hotel

This is not a 5* resort and everyone who says it is has not been to a 5* resort. We had booked another hotel which flooded and Expedia failed to inform us in time off this issue, we were then stuck with very few 5star resorts to pick from with the same listed amenities and standards we expected. When we arrived the hotel we could tell straight away this was not a 5* property, it was dated and tired and the reception looked like a messy motel desk. The lift up to our suite was tiny and resembled that of a London council estate. When we arrived the room again we noticed the tired decor, the fridge was falling apart, the arm chairs were worn out and weathered. The en-suite was awful, hair in the drains and an awful smell coming out of the bathroom. The sheets in the beds were ripped and stains on the bed (I took photos for my complaint). It was awful! I called down to complain about the sheets and I was told it’s fine they are clean and old. The sheets were changed eventually to stain free sheets but not rip-free! Sheets are not supposed to be torn in a 5*resort. I asked for a dressing gown and after a lot of chasing up I got a bathrobe which had a strange black tar like substance with hairs stuck in it (pictures taken). Hospitality were rude and thought I was being difficult when I called and complained about this. The food was a nightmare, only one resturant, the second resturant by the pool wasn’t a resturant, it was a seating area serving the same food from the buffet....

The setting, location and view was excellent. Rooms could be upgraded. Dated but clean.

Great location and staff

Nice resort for families of which we have no children. Being our first all inclusive type accommodation we were surprised at the family entertainment on offer which went on until 11pm. Not great for those early nights as it’s incredibly loud, especially annoying when we paid for a sea view but this was worse for sound than the garden view. The hotel next door was an adults only, much nicer restaurant and lounging arrangement. We will be booking that next time.

Price vice and neaeist hotel tontown so wxcellent . Design is also very nice , typical Aegean style 👍

The staff were excellent and hotel was clean. The TV was smaller than my laptop though. I would still recommend it as a good stay.

The facilty is close to different attractions.. And has lots of services

Didn’t start well as our initial room was inadequate but we were moved by the 3rd day to a much better one. Staff were accommodating. Facilities were nice and food was satisfactory. Lovely spa with a great hamam

THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE RATED 3 STARS MAXIMUM. Step into 1990, that's what the place looks like. Lobby is dark at night, like they're trying to save on electricity. Our bed had sand, like it was not cleaned or sheets were not changed (disgusting). Bathtub had hair (not cleaned). Door key card not working, had to call technicians. Key card used to turn on lights not working either, light would turn off randomly, sometimes every 30 seconds (this was not resolved). SMELLS LIKE AN ASHTRAY (smoking rooms are next to non-smoking rooms so you smell the cigarettes everywhere. The button on the wall to flush the bathroom would get stuck, you had to go back into the bathroom to stop the water from running. The table lamp in the room had no with, was broken. You have to walk about 1/2 mile to get anywhere within the resort, all of it up and down stairs. At first they put us in a tiny room that had a baby crib left inside (we have no kids). The two front desk women were very rude, did not address our concerns or seemed to care. We checked out early and booked a different hotel in the area (it took very long to get them to refund us 1 night). If you have a nice resort in mind, this is not it and the 5 star rating is a fraud. There is no way this place is even 4 stars. There were issues from a to z and the cleanliness issues were disgusting, especially laying down to sleep and realizing the bed was FULL OF SAND. Bodrum is a beautiful place but this hotel almost ruined it for us.
