Sorry, not able to recommend this hotel. Breakfast on 25/10 very busy. One lady openly coughing - no face mask on. Staff aware but took no action. We asked to move to another table only to then have another couple seated only a few feet away, so close I could actually touch the lady! Spoke to senior member of staff in restaurant about our concern that the tables were too close together and they should be two metres apart. He was adamant that we were wrong and there only needed to be one metre! We were also told this by the duty manager. After waiting 45 minutes for breakfast they said we should have asked for room service! Surely hotels have a duty of care to their customers to keep them safe. Now, more so than ever. We felt very unsafe and it ruined our long awaited weekend away.
Visit 1-2 times a year. Not happy about menu change as the pork belly was to die for and was one of the reasons for return every time. Always a lovely stay, staff very friendly
All staff where very happy, polite and couldn't help enough. Very impressed withy this hotel.
Staff friendly but service at the bar not great, had to keep going back to the bar (even though it was table service) to ask for drinks. Room clean and spacious. Pool area clean, but sauna far too hot to sit in and jacuzzi only came on twice in the hour slot you have to use the facilities.

The slime and clearly bagged lettuce in the room service dish suggests poor attention in the kitchen, being rationed paper cups on the room despite enhanced service because no room cleaning was really puzzling for this hotel brand. Breakfast neighbour was sat at a table previously used but not cleaned. Staff clearly were also working hard so maybe it’s the management at fault here. Overall an impressive facility not delivering on its brand, that’s how it felt.
The hotel is lovely and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was really nice, decent size well appointed as was the bathroom. I moved rooms initially as the first bed was completely sunk on one side. The 2nd bed was much better but still slightly sunk on one side but comfy enough, they needed bigger sheets however as they barely covered the bed. The bar/lounge was nice and the food was good. The menu was very limited but most are at the moment. Breakfast also nice. Many COVID precautions in place and felt the safest i have in a hotel since they reopened.
The staff were brilliant they went out of their way to be helpful and safe, even in the face of customers who don’t get how to wear a mask or social distance
Had a lovely stay, brief but very comfortable and Covid friendly. All staff had measured in place to keep Covid safe. Would highly recommend.
Pretty nice, with a shocker at the end. Someone had a key card and accessed our room. The only saving grace was that my wife had put the security latch on the door. At 08:26, someone knocked hard and then immediately opened the door with force. Startled awake I shouted out and the door was slammed shut. I immediately contacted reception who said it was probably housekeeping. Housekeeping?? What 4 star hotel allows their staff to access rooms without checking their occupancy first? What are housekeeping doing accessing a room at that time? Why haven’t they attempted to identify themselves? The response from the reception desk was not acceptable. There was a promise to investigate and I haven’t heard anything. On attempting to leave the room, the door had been slammed shut so hard, that we were then locked in the room and couldn’t get out. In desperation I tried using the key card from the inside, which eventually released the mechanism and allowed us to exit.
