Hotel San Agustin El Dorado

The location is great, the beds are not high quality and the one we had was hard, as well the pillows were not helpful either. When we arrived, the elevator wasn’t working so it was difficult to get the luggage to the third floor. When we entered the room, the safe and the television were not working. They came and fixed the safe, by putting in a reset code that allowed them to open the safe easily which did not assure us if the safety of using the safe. The individual did not know how to fix the television. Without AC we had to leave the windows open, which is fine unless you are in the front of the hotel which faces the road. It was very noisy and sleep was not easy to do. We ended up only staying one night of the two nights we paid for because our tours started around 4am and we needed to sleep. Between the noise and the low quality of the beds, sleep was difficult at best. The building was interesting and the location was great. Hope this is helpful information.

Internet was not fast enough

Pros: Nice hotel, 4 star though looks more like 3-3.5 star. Convenient location for walking in the town but it is also a disadvantage as mentioned in cons. Helpful staff Good breakfast, starts early in the morning Cons: Biggest disadvantage of the hotel it that it is on the main road. At night it is difficult to sleep with ambulances and police vans passing on the road with the sirens

Spacious rooms, big beds, 2 free waters and good service. Really nice for the night before and night after the inca trail!

Great location. Very close to plaza de Armas. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff.

We heard some noise overhead; talking, flushing, etc.

The property was close by to good restaurants and the tour company we used for Machu Picchu.

Staff is great, kind, helpful and professional.. The hotel is loud, hard to sleep with so much noise.

I like the location. Breakfast was adequate but not extraordinary. Checking in was not that easy because of language barrier. The manager was not visible within the property.
