Angelo, Annita, and the entire staff were amazing. Very friendly and proactive to delight their guests and arrange any accomodation or tour of necessary. From the moment we arrived, Angelo made us feel like family in his hotel. Wonderful breakfasts daily with magnificent views. The sea view villas are not walking distance, so the hotel transfers you back and forth, but the wait was never long, and we enjoyed the privacy. Thank you La Maltese!

The location and views are excellent! The front desk staff and managers were extremely nice, helpful and pleasant! Anita was Amazing! she accommodated all my requests and was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable! So was the manager Angelo who was very pleasant helpful and friendly! He offered me to stay at the Villas which were brand new he also took me to tour the villas and he even showed me how to download driving directions on Google and use it offline because I didn't have WiFi on the road. Service was a bit slow for breakfast but the staff was very friendly! I will definitely Recommend La Maltese Estate, Buddha Bar Beach in Santorini. Very Good Experience! will stay there again! K

The view was the only thing that was worth it. The room I paid for wasn’t given to me and they still haven’t given a good explanation! I was supposed to have a Junior Suite with view and a Hot tub, which are below the main building of the hotel. The pic on the reservation show’s exactly what is below the main building. Instead, I was given a decrepit dirty room, that smelled bad because the walls of the bathroom we’re moldy. The bath leaked everywhere, with rusty handles and vanity tap broken. The bed mattress felt like a box spring was completely uncomfortable. And to make matters worse I wasn’t able to sleep because an electrical beep kept on going on and off all night long and day! The furniture and appliances were dirty. I’ve never experienced such bad service by a hotel, their employees are friendly, but they aren’t truthful, they pretend to not know how i was given such, room. I actually told them they should be ashamed to even rent such room, but you can tell they don’t care. Last night they moved me into another hotel they own, it wasn’t part of the original reservation, which a at first look it looked fine but the sink didn’t drain and it smelled like the sewer and they had ants. I just couldn’t wait to leave this awful place. I do not understand how Buddha Bar can be associated with such a business with such low standards, what a dishonest place! I will review this place on different websites because travellers should be warned. PEOPLE BEWARE!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We arrived at the hotel late from the ferry with two small sleepy children and no one was at the front door to help us from the taxi to the lobby. When we entered the lobby the concierge seemed surprised that we were there and called another woman, who then called the manager. The manager came a 1/2 hour later and said (after another 1/2 hour of “checking”), that he couldn’t find our pre-paid reservation and had NO ROOMS. He said he would put us up in another 5 star property but when he got to the hotel it was a much inferior room and resort. I paid $525 per night for a superior caldera room with a hot tub and the room they put me in was $330/night with no view and leaking water everywhere. I was not refunded the difference and all Expedia gave me for the trouble was a $100 coupon as a consolation prize. The hotel is a complete scam and I cannot believe that Expedia does business like this. The manager and his team are con artists.

I would warn anyone against staying here based on how they treated me. When I showed up, they did not honor my reservation which I had in place and paid fin advance for 6 months. When I called Expedia at the checkin to help resolve the problem, they refused to talk with them and hung up on them. As a result, the hotel moved me to another hotel which had much lower quality amenities and no infinity pool. I had a room with one bed instead of two. La Maltese has kept my money and not refunded anything- even though they clearly moved me to a lower quality hotel. I am still arguing with them through Expedia to get a refund. I would warn anyone against staying here.

Beautiful views!

The hotel was in a great spot, and had amazing views! The included breakfast was a nice touch, but the service made it difficult to enjoy as much as it could have been enjoyed. The Wifi was available but strength varied as you moved around the space, given the cave-like properties of the room. The hotel was helpful in planning activities.

Beautiful setting but the hotel simply wasn’t ready to open to the public and the rooms which hadn’t been maintained through the winter months were not suitable to accommodate guests. I in fact contacted expedia and have a case number to support this because my room, which I refused to stay in, was riddled with dampness. I have photographic evidence of water dripping through the bathroom ceiling.
