Staybridge Suites Philadelphia-Mt. Laurel

This is a comfortable, well-managed, very clean and up-to-date hotel. The only problem--which was minor--was that the entry door was a little bit sticky and needed a push to enter. The room was quiet, clean, well-appointed. I know we'll be back.

My husband and I stayed here for our two year anniversary and was disgusted as soon as we checked in. The concierge barely looked at me n spoke really low, we went to our room which was a non smoking but smelled like nothing but smoke smh. Of course my husband and I wiped everything down but u cud clearly tell the room hasn’t been clean in a while. I wud definitely not be staying here again.

Our stay was not bad. The suite was very spacious for my husband, kids, and me. However, the rooms are pretty dated with tears in much of the furniture. We had a very noisy guest above us and contacted the front desk multiple times with no resolution throughout our 2-night stay. Also, they advertise DVD players in the rooms and our family was looking forward to some “old fashion video” time but each room does not actually have one available. We contacted the front desk and they said there were none available in the hotel. They should definitely clarify in advertising that DVD players are based on limited availability. Otherwise, we feel that we had a good stay for the price.

From the moment that I walked in to the hotel to check in, I was greated with a friendly smile, hello and welcome. My husband and I where there for a very emotional and stressful reason and the staff there was very accommodating with everything. I can not say how much the staff helped us feel more at ease with the situation that we were in town for. The hotel was in a great centrally located area with many restaurants and shopping around. Easy check in and out. My husband and I plan to be back in that area again some time next year and I will defiantly staff here again.

I only chose to stay at this hotel because of the other ratings. When we first arrived the hotel clerk checking us in did not have a mask on. There are multiple signs throughout the hotel saying that masks are required but I did see more than 1 person walk thru the front door without one and no one said anything. The furniture in the room is very outdated and needs to be replaced. Our sheets in one of the rooms had multiple burn holes in them. The light bulbs in that same room were blown so obviously no one checks the lights at all. We had to have someone swap them out. The box spring had multiple stains on it but what really made us sick was that there was some sort of cockroach in the living area that I had to kill.

The place was nice. The entrance of the place smelt of weed though. And our phone to the room, didn’t have chord. As if some one broke it. I made sure to call the the front seat. Also there was tissue stuck in the the door area, where it clicks to close. It worried us because it felt as if some one put it there because they were planning to get in. That made us a little uncomfortable. We ended up taking it out.

Wasn't terrible. Room was too small for a king size bed. Made it very difficult to manuver. Was clean except for the inch of grime on top of the fridge. That was unpleasant. Stay wasn't bad. Wasn't top notch either....

This was a last minute booking (I redeemed a reward night)however, that does not mean that I can accept the oblivious lack of certain things. Upon arrival, there were 2 different groups of people “hanging out” in the parking lot , which was the first bad vibe. At check in, the representative seemed annoyed at my late arrival, as it was after midnight. The reservation was for 3 occupants (1 Adult and 2 children) and we had to request towels that we did not receive before checking out. There was food crumbs in the sofa bed, which led me to believe that the linen on the sofa bed had not been changed from the previous guests, so we ALL slept in the king-sized bed. There was no dish soap or dishwasher detergent or dish towel to wash our breakfast dishes, so I had to leave them in the dishwasher. I am surprised at the level of oversight, and I understand that during this pandemic, many companies are short-staffed; however, the items neglected are the basic restock items that are supposed to be in every room. The other disappointing thing (and probably the biggest) is that the hotel is advertised to have an OUTDOOR POOL...there is not! I would not have chosen this hotel had I known that...the kids were looking forward to being able to go to a pool...we could not because the indoor pool was closed! I’ve stayed at the Staybridge chain in other states and cannot believe the stark contrast to the service and quality of this location.

I really had a great time. Place was nice and clean. Even thought the Breakfast dining area is current closed due to covid; Togo breakfast bags were Provided. Greatly appreciated. Thanks
