From the time we checked in we felt safe and felt the lobby and rooms were very clean. This during the virus set our minds at ease. The staff at front desk was very nice and helpful!

Nice Hotel Appearance and staff was friendly. But my rooms had problems. The 1st room I was given had no hot water in shower. In the replacement room the coffee maker didnt work. I wouldnt make it my 1st option while staying in Orangeburg. But, they were listening to the complaints. I hope those issues were taken care of.

The place is run down, not clean, dusty, filthy carpet and, I suspect, not sanitized for Covid-19.

First room the ac didn’t work and did not have the king and queen bed as stated when booking Attendant took a long time to get us into another room. The second room the door didn’t work properly The ac cover was falling apart which was a hazard for my 3 year old We couldn’t take showers as there was dirt in the shower water and the water had a foul smell to it. Breakfast they gave us milk that was almost expired Don’t recommend this hotel

Turned on the shower and spigot and brown gritty water poured into the tub for about 10 seconds before it washed away. The shower head was covered in mold. The tub spigot was 1/2 inch from the wall and there was a crack in the wall below the spigot allowing water from the shower to get into the wall. The carpet was worn and stained. The bathroom door had strips of wood delaminating at the top and bottom and sticking out. The wall backing a tile behind the toilet was in bad shape. A wall joint at one end of the tub was either rusty or moldy, I didn't want to touch it. I have photos of all of the above, except for the brown gritty water since I did not think to take photos before rinsing out the tub. Granted the hotel was undergoing upgrades, but the room we had certainly was not worked on before I or anyone before me was stuck in it.

The front staff were pleasant and somewhat helpful given the present global virus situation. The room though was not what we would expect for a Holiday Inn. The carpet was dirty, the toilet paper holder barely hanging on, no spare toilet paper and this roll was half way, stains on the tile floor as you enter the room, lampshades were not matching. Cold breakfast was also limited but the staff did try their best to have something. We had to use the coffee maker in our room. We did understand however that this was precautionary. The room was overpriced for the condition it was in. They are doing some renovations on a 3rd floor wing but it was closed off and was not a factor for the condition of our room. Also, walls are peeling. Very disappointing. We don't usually like to write these types of reports but it needs to be reported to other travellers. The upside was that the bed and pillows were comfortable and we had a good night sleep.
