Campus Inn & Suites Eugene Downtown

The shower was bad. There was no happy medium with water temperature and no pressure.

The bed sheets smelled SOUR like they stayed in the washer to long. Other than that it was fine!

The carpet floor was flooded from leaking water from an unknown source in the bathroom area. I had to use up all my towels just to try have a clean floor so I can use the bathroom without shoes... it just turned all the towels brown! I have a hard time believing the cleaners didn't see it before I moved in. The rest of the furniture and apolstery were old and looked like they were in disrepair.

The staff of Campus Inn & Suites does an excellent job of seeing to it that your stay is enjoyable.

The best part of the stay was the guy who helped us at checkin! Amazing service! The actual room though.... light switches didn’t work. Only one outlet had a plugin secure enough to hold my charger (in bathroom). All the others, it literally fell out. One lamp next to bed enabled charging of one device. My husband used this one. I just didn’t bother charging my phone. TV remote didn’t work. Light switch in bathroom (bathroom light and fan) didn’t work. Shower curtain just slides down to the center, doesn’t really work. Like the rod isn’t level. But whatevs. The carpet in the room appeared clean, sheets appeared clean, and furniture all appeared clean. Bathroom was fairly clean. Slept okayish, pretty noisy area. Lots of activity. Bed was okay. Not the most comfortable but not the worst. Lots of restaurants nearby, so that’s a plus. The heater did work very well. So also a plus. Wouldn’t stay here again unless it was my only option. The employee I interacted with at the front desk was super nice. And that’s saying something. Probably the only reason I’d stay here again.

So this is the exact type of cheap hotel room you do not want to Stay at. They have a huge- I mean huge covered smoking area that collects very unsavory people- including those who it seems are not staying at the motel. This smoking area was right next to our room and the hot tub.... people were up using the smoking area literally all hours of the night. The room was incredibly hot (and it was late October) and the air wasn’t working. Overall a rough night! Spend $30 more and stay somewhere else.

The room I was given had a broken refrigerator, an unflushed toilet (with a “sterile” cleaning strip over the top), smudges and grime all over the vanity sink handles and counter, and multiple cigarette burns on the comforter. The front desk manager was very polite and immediately apologized and gave me an upgraded room which was better (at least cleaner). The tub in the upgraded room bathroom was delaminating badly, with porcelain paint flakes sticking to my feet during a shower. Both rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. The cleaning staff was less than friendly, and was reluctant to help when I asked for a towel and some sanitizing cleaner. There were multiple homeless and unfriendly individuals hanging out in the parking lot throughout the day during my three day stay, which did not did not help in providing a safe, secure or friendly environment. Overall the experience was not a good one, and I definitely won’t be staying here again.

The bathroom and shower looked like it had not been cleaned, The room smelled kind a like mildew and the sofa was damp idk why but I also don’t want to know.
