Colony Club by Elegant Hotels

Wonderful place to stay. Staff was very good, everything was spotless. Only suggestion is to increase eating opportunities for evening meals, as only high end dining was offered.

The property is shabby and the rooms out of date. The baths are too short. Things kept breaking - the lamps, the fan for example. The staff (front desk, beach and poolside) are wonderful apart from the breakfast team who were mostly awful and sullen. I found your food prices exceptionally high for what you got. Yes it was good enough but certainly not excellent. Shame. There are some excellent restaurants outside the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed and didn't resent paying good money for. I loathed the hassle to reserve sun beds on the beach. If you did get up at 6.30am and get one, they were so close together it was uncomfortable.

We loved our time at the Colony Club. The staff was incredibly attentive and available. The room was comfortable and well stocked with extras like yoga mats, freshly made fudge! There were many included amenities (such as waterskiing and an ample and delicious breakfast buffet) without feeling like an 'all-inclusive.' There were plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and at the beach so we didn't have to wake up early to reserve them. We would come back!!

Dear Expedia I was disappointed to find that upon check in, the room I had purchased through you was not what the Colony Club was offering. I have waited 2 days for the agreed room to become available and was only offered it once I had agreed to pay extra premium. That said. I am deeply disappointed in what you sold me. I will have lost all confidence in you ability to deliver as promised unless you are able to make this prior to our check out On January 2nd 2020.

Fabulous location, in interesting almost rude staff

This hotel has everything you need — you don’t need to leave. Lots of places to sit in either the sun or shade. Beautiful beach. Nice pools. Comfortable loungers and cabanas.

Centrally located on the west coast, Colony Club has one the best beaches in Barbados with calm seas and soft white sand.

Love the fact that’s it’s a small hotel which knows it’s customers. Great beach in front of hotel. Water sports included and no line-ups. Good breakfast Food at lunch soso. Overall - staff excellent

We stayed at the Colony Club for 5 nights in early November 2019. The best part about this hotel is its location and beach. Of all the hotels nearby, Colony Club has one of the nicest beaches. It's also only a 10 minute walk south along the beach to a bunch of restaurants and the town. The service is my biggest complaint. There are a lot of regulars or "returning guests" who seem to be treated with a higher level of service than those who are staying with the hotel for the first time. Also, the lunch at the hotel was not very good and overpriced. Other than that, our ocean view room was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I would say Colony Club is the nicest of the mid-tier hotels on the island that won't break the bank.

The location is on the gold coast and the property has a nice secluded beach and calm waters since it is located on the Caribbean coast.
