Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Portland-Jantzen Beach

The hotel and staff are great. We were hoping for the pool, but it was shut down. Otherwise it was great!

Overall stay was good continental breakfast basically was cinnamon rolls, bagels etc, Pool area and fitness room closed and was due to COVID impact. I did check on multiple other hotels only to find out many had "interesting rates" except with most they did not provide bedding for the rooms due to couldn't get them clean/disinfected I guess For the above reason I went to well known hotel and as usual Holiday Inn did not let me down. Staff all were friendly and helpful and plenty of places to eat within 1 mile and mall for shopping. I am still currently here after a total of one week and would definitely come back again. My friend and I were taking a vacation that was long overdue. We stayed somewhere different each night. This hotel was comfortable, clean, and quiet. I would definitely stay again.

It was fairly quiet, but run down neighborhood. Needs revitalization in the area. Hotel was clean. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

Loved our room. We had an area with a table, chair and love seat which we used to play cards. The place was very clean and the staff very helpful. I also liked having the use of a cart to bring up the luggage. Thanks

The only thing I had issue with was the outside door into the hotel. The outside door was not an automatic door. You physically had to open it. No big deal, right? Well, when your hands are loaded down with luggage and other things, it's a little tough to open the door. The next door into the lobby was automatic, but the first door wasn't. Other than that, it was great. Shopping is very close, entrance/exit to I-5 is convenient, and restaurants are close.

Clean and everything was in excellent condition. Used the pool, hot tub, Exercise room, dining room. All employees were very helpful and friendly.

Great property... The only downfall was a dog barking throughout the night and noise in the room above us. Kids jumping and running until really late.

The property and all that I experienced was great. The staff were friendly and polite as well as accommodating. My issue is with this Expedia site. I booked a room at original $88 a night but I chose the double queen for $96 a night plus hotel taxes (which I thought Oregon didn’t have taxes) . Anyway I didn’t bother to review my bill until check out because I added a night and wanted to make sure the bill was accurate only to receive a bill for$363.15 for 3 nights stay. More than I anticipated on paying . I had a positive experience before however, don’t think I will be using this service again.
