Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Santa Maria

It was a nice stay although the people next store partied all night and we hardly slept

As soon as we arrived, at check-in, we were told they would bring up to the room sheets and pillows for the pull-out couch, where our son was going to sleep. That was around 6:30pm. Nothing came and after an hour and I called the front desk to request it again. They said someone would come up. After an hour I called again, same thing. Finally I called one last time around 9:45pm and the items were delivered around 10:15pm. Whoever delivered, knocked the door, and didn't bother to wait for me to open the door. He or she left sheets and pillows outside the door, on the carpet.

It was a great suite, plenty of room and a balcony. The breakfast was excellent and the service was great. We will go back again.

We had a great time here. Check-in was easy. The room was clean a surprisingly large. The beds were super comfy. We ordered room service for the restaurant and the Nachos were so good!

First let me say the service and staff were excellent friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are ok at first sight, but upon closer inspection they lack proper care. My smoke detector was covered in plastic, my sink was clogged, the light fixture in the kitchen was missing a bolt and hanging slightly. The toilet seat has a weird peeling of the plastic going on. The edging on one of the walls was hanging down. The counter in the kitchen was not even due to someone “sitting” on it bending the sink in the process. The curtain in the room had a slice through it. The Lamp on the balcony Had the top just hanging off. The air vents in the ceiling are covered in dust. The bathtub in one of our rooms (I had 2) was clogged. The air vent over the stove was not properly cleaned as I can see the smear marks of the gunk that likes to linger there. Some of the tiles in the kitchen are cracked. I came there to get a good night sleep and it was a short trip. It served its purpose. I feel like more attention to detail and pride in even the minor fixes can go a long way. Again very friendly staff no complaints there at all. Just lacking upkeep I felt like this was a apartment setting and that a long term tenant had just moved out with the amount of wear.

Very nice overnight stay. Check-in was fast and easy with pleasant staff. Room was HUUUGE one bedroom suite. Ended up taking a couple small grandkids last minute and the sofa bed came in very nice. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the kitchenette wasn't stocked with utensils, so we couldn't cook breakfast, no fault of the Inn of course, just know there are no cooking supplies in the room. I would most certainly stay here again, easy freeway access and close to restaurants. Give this location a shot, it won't disappoint.
