Bolongo Bay Beach Resort

Our experience at Bolongo Bay was amazing and far exceeded our expectations. The staff were all friendly, knowledgable, and helpful for anything we needed or questions that we asked. They had wonderful suggestions for our activities both through the resort and for on our own with no pressure. The food at their restaurant was delicious and good portions as were the drinks. The wait staff was amazing and polite and attentive as well. The resort was beautiful and well kept. As was the room. We loved that they had their own beach property that we could utilize at any time. As well as free use of the kyaks and other equipment. They even let us take the snorkeling gear along with us on our adventures around the islands. We are more than pleased with the entire experience and will definitely be recommending them. We actually already have. Thanks to all the staff that made our honeymoon experience so amazing.

The staff was good. The pool could have been a lot cleaner so that was a bit of a turn off. The biggest thing we didnt care for was the beach. It had a lot of seaweed and sea urchins. Most of the other St Thonas beaches we went to were much nicer, cleaner and more relaxing. Also the last night we were there the bar crowd was rather obnoxious and a few guys were just sloppy drunk which made it a bit family unfriendly.

The Good: We really loved the view from our room. It was actually surreal and the activities were amazing. We did a sunset catamaran cruise and the boat staff was so incredible! It was everything we wanted to experience. The resort has so many water sports to engage in and the gentleman who runs it (sorry I cannot remember his name, he has a beard) was just incredibly sincere and so fun! The resort is easy to get to from the airport and is recovering well from the hurricane. Yes it could use some paint here and there but overall you have to try this resort out! The not so good: and I am not saying bad, but not so good - the food. It was the same menu the whole time we were there ~ breakfast, lunch, dinner. So by the end of the vacation we had tried basically everything. The kitchen also gets backed up and takes a long time. I just wish they would change it up a bit but this too may be part of the recovery efforts at the resort. Not sure. Also the outside of the property when you drive up is a little odd but you get used to it. OVERALL - Great Resort!!!!

I liked that it was beach front, had plenty of parking and staff were lovely. The bar area was hectic and there was no calm place t have a drink and enjoy the view unless you took it to the beach.

Accommodations were great. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Most rooms have a great view. Bathrooms need to be updated

The location was excellent. Away from cruise ships but centrally located. The staff was extremely out of their way friendly. Got to know our names, etc. We only did all inclusive one day. We dont' sit in one place. Always on the go. The food was decent and drinks yummy. Pool clean and lots of evening entertainment. Biggest complaint and I did complain, our bathroom/kitchenette was gross. I never wanted my shoes off. The bed and bedroom area were fine. but I showered for a week with shoes on and needed a drink before I did. I complained and they tried, but it was still EW!

It rained, water leaking into the room, they had to change our room( health hazard). We woke up next morning to find out we had slept on under fresh bloody sheets!!!!

Great food and staff, very nice! Relaxing and peaceful entertainment at night.
