Super 8 by Wyndham Corvallis

We picked this hotel for an overnight stay for a medical appointment, since it had the best COVID policies and allowed us to bring our dog. Check in was great and desk clerk was wearing a mask; however, when we checked out the desk clerk was not wearing a mask---it was hanging around his neck. Now I wonder if they really do follow the policies they say they follow regarding rooms being empty for 72 hours between guests.

The toilet wasn’t flushed when I got there. Toothpaste stains in the counter. And a pretty big dead bug on the curtains. The front desk lady came to my room not once but twice telling me what I can and can not do. The first time she she told me if people who aren’t supposed to be in my room has to leave, I had one friend over while waiting for my boyfriend. The second time is when he arrived she knocked on my door 3 minutes later after he arrived saying “this is your second warning. Anyone extra in your room needs to leave and you can’t be loud.” (It was 8pm and we were watching to leave also my friend was gone by the time my boyfriend got there.) I’m honestly not so sure why she was invested that much in my room or my stay particularly or if she’s like that with everyone but it was very upsetting.

We did not like the smell of cigarette smoke in the building and in our rooms. We were in non smoking rooms but the smell of the cigarette smoke was there. We also didn't like that people loitering around outside. It made us feel unsafe.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hall and room smelled bad- kind of like bologna mixed with overripe fruit. A few hours with the window open cleared that out. The guy at the front desk wasn’t wearing a mask but there was a small plexiglass shield. The hotel was being used as shelter for a lot of fire evacuees (which is great) and made it chaotic, loud and busy. I wish we had been notified of the situation.

we went here during all the fires that were evacuating people and cities were being destroyed. they had collections for these people in their hotel their service was outstanding even with all the chaos of displaced families going on around them and people checking in who had reservations. would not hesitate to stay here again.

Bed is supper comfortable. Outside could use a wash as lots of cobwebs but overall room was clean and nice

Hotel was clean and Katie at the front desk was very helpful.

The Manager there was hands down the best I've seen in a long time. Great customer service , and very helpful. Will be staying here much more .

It was just a place to sleep. Played in a golf tournament, on Sat. Great location for downtown activities.

No breakfast
