Rodeway Inn & Suites Williamsburg

Excellent!

Arriving after 10:00pm, we concluded that our reserved accommodations were not very accommodating. The owner/manager made every effort to make our 2 night stay fit our family needs of more space. Our stay was very pleasant and hospitable. The reviews of previous customers were a major factor in our choice of this Rodeway Inns & Suites.

Rodeway is a budget motel but budget should not mean run down. Even for a budget motel there is a level of expectations and this motel was lacking. The bathroom towel bars in the main area and the shower had no bars. One he the holders. Reall? The woodwork trim needed painting. Bedspreads were long needing replacement. The desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. Continental breakfast could have been much better. Very cheap muffins, mini bagels and white bread only for toast. Hard boiled eggs are cheap and easy and could be added. Other bread varieties as we'll. For a historic area and Busch Gardens 1 mile away this motel exterior could capitalize on either historic or theme park features in exterior decorations to make this motel more inviting.

WiFi very slow, very dated fixtures and furnishings

Nice clean room, easily adjustable temperature control, nice TV, frig, coffee in room. Breakfast bar was available but I didn’t need it. This is the second time I stayed there. Definitely would book again. Nice stay and extremely reasonable!! Manager is very nice, too!

This is a tale of two people with vastly different comfort levels. I liked it. My significant other (SO) did not. From my perspective, the price is right, the beds are clean and comfortable, the water pressure is great, and the location is convenient. It is definitely an older motel, one floor, drive right up to the room door. Seems like current management is trying to bring it back, and they still have a way to go; but they're focusing on the right things. The bathroom was brand new, with nice tile work, clean tub and toilet. My only beef with the bathroom was the shower head that was a little high on the wall and could not adjust the stream. Sink is separate from the bathroom; but the sink needs a stopper (to prevent contacts or rings from going down the drain. Baseboard and door trim either needs painted or thoroughly cleaned. Carpet looked clean to me; but my SO didn't think so. The door closes securely; but doesn't hang right in the frame, resulting in light coming in around the door pretty badly. Small pool; but it looks like it is handicap accessible.

Great value and conveniently located. My bridge partner was very surprised the price was so low. So nice to be able to park right outside the room. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were unable to turn on the A/C but the clerk came to our room and did it for us. Only black mark = they failed to give the wake-up call that was requested.

This is an older motel reminiscent of those found in the '60's along our highways and byways. It was clean, the staff was extremely helpful, and the WIFI was the fastest I have ever encountered in a hotel or motel.

My son and I stayed one night for a quick trip to Busch Gardens. Cleanliness and comfort are VERY important to us and this is one of the cleanest most comfortable motels I've ever stayed at. The price and amenities were great too!! I would definitely stay there again.

Front desk staff very courteous and went out of his way to be helpful and attentive to our needs.
