Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Des Moines - Northwest

Front desk was questionable. Once we got to room all was acceptable. My husband witnessed young people letting many other young people in the back door. Not sure if they were staying here or not. Didn’t hear anything during the night. Room was clean & spacious. Wound stay here again.

Great Hotel, convenient right off Rt 80 west. After 16 hours of driving from NJ to Colorado, was very comforting, clean and Dog friendly too! Our pooch really enjoyed his stay as well!

when I checked in everything was fine. they did not clean the room for two nights when asked the front desk the lady said with this pandemic that you are suppose to let them know if you want your room cleaned . They should let you know at check in about the cleaning process we stayed for four nights we told the lady at the front on the third night we wanted our room cleaned and it was not .we had to have the room keys reprogramed every day for three days

Clean and spacious and quiet!

We were traveling with our infant son and needed a space for him with a door, so we booked a suite. Upon arrival the front desk staff informed me that if I needed a luggage cart I may need to look in each hallway to find one - she appeared more interested in what was playing through her earbuds than being helpful. Only 2 of the elevators were working. The bed was comfortable enough for the 1 night stay. The bathroom floor was dirty and the tub didn’t drain. When we moved the furniture to set up our son’s crib there were crumbs on the floor where the furniture was Our son crawled on the floor and when we picked him up his hands and feet were black from the filth in the carpet in the suite. I did let the front desk staff know in the morning and they gave us a discount, then indicated maintenance would go right up. We’ll try another hotel the next time we travel.

I was Impressed by the cleanliness during this pandemic that was a big concern. The bed and pillows were fresh and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I slept well.could have a few more tv channels.

Turns out our room was not clean. We found a sick that didn't belong to us under the bed skirt when we were gathering our things to check out, and there was hair that wasn't ours by the windows, and pet hair that didn't match my cat. Pink discoloration in the shower grout which is indicative of bacteria. Makes me really question if our sheets were really clean and how seriously this hotel takes the pandemic.

Some how my wife and daughter said they got some bugs bites on body. And no coffees cups in the room

The front desk clerks were nice and wearing a mask by law. Although a lot of the guests were not, especially the massive family that had their children running around wet in bathing suits while in the common areas. The room was easy to find, decent and clean. There were a few cracks on corners of the room, but most likely done by guests hitting it with their luggage's. Overall, a decent stay for an inexpensive booking.
