Loved the location! Walking distance to University Hospital. Lovely walk along the canal. Very short distance to Kroger's. Room was so comfortable! Loved the huge desk area for working. Full size fridge with a two burner stove, full size microwave, toaster, all the dishes, utensils, plates and glasses were there. However there was one pan. There was the vanity light in the bathroom and the toilet leak however, the desk got the repair person there and it was fixed quickly. With the COVID restrictions the breakfast is limited to some cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, toast, juice, milk and coffee which I was thankful for. They are doing a great job during the this trying times. Just remember, there is a daily parking fee.

It is a well-kept hotel. It was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. On the map it look far from the "downtown" area but it is only a few minutes to walk. It was nice to be close to the canal.

Being right on the canal was great, and within half a mile of the middle of downtown made everything available without having to drive anywhere. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and had answers for everything we needed. Room was clean with no issues. Only issue was not being able to get back into the back of the hotel after going for a walk on the canal after 10pm, but that was on us for not paying attention to the signs.

Not good. The pool is closed, you have to pay $25 on top of your room fee, room didn’t have bedding for the pull out bed, and one of the front desk girls was very snotty. The canal was nice but I would recommend a different hotel.

Well it was my mom, my granny and I who booked the room for 2 nights but it was under my name. We drove 2 seperate cars and I made it to the hotel first to check us in. I pulled up and the sign says $25 for parking. I walked up to the door after parking close by and the doors would not open even though there was someone at the front desk and 2 people in line. I understand we are social distancing but there should be a sign because I looked foolish waving to be let in. The check-in was speedy but I was disappointed that the pool and gym were both closed...no surprise there. The lady validated the parking but was not clear about how the payment would be processed or anything about it of the nature. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the canal. The TV went out on us 7 times and when I called about it nobody returned the call or came to fix the TV so we just dealt with it. Then when my mom left to go to the car the doors were freely open to the guest to come and go but once she walked out to come back in they were no longer sliding freely. She was questioned when she came back in as if she was not a guest and she JUST stepped outside. The gentleman in front of her did not have to wait to be let back in and the guy behind her did not have to wait to be let back in NOR were they questioned about their stay because they were checking in. They paid for 1 night while we paid for 2 and for the amount we spent, I expected better Customer Service.

We stay at Residence Inn on the Canal every time we come to Indy and the quality has not changed. They actually was doint renovations earlier this year which gave me even more impressed. Everything is clean, the front desk personnel are always pleasant, professional and helpful...even the housekeepers. The location is prime being on the Canal and near the park for nature/outdoor lovers like myself. I have no complaints but would only encourage them to continue doing what they do and aiming higher because they've shown that they're doing just that. I will stay no where else!!
