Sunset Inn

This place is ok if you just need a place to stay. It is an older property and it has some permanent residents. Other than that I can’t say much.

The beds were comfortable, the room was somewhat clean. I noticed that the carpet was dirty and the walls had marks all over it. Over all I would stay there again.

Hotel shows it's "great for families," when we pulled up, the hotel looked like a prison where all the rooms were facing the parking lot and had no protection. I called the hotel to complain that my daughter and I did not check in as we didn't feel safe when we pulled in and wanted a refund, the hotel manager got angry and started arguing and said he'd come after me legally if I posted any false reviews. Yikes. Not sure what's worse the manager or the hotel.

Room stinked of smoke and was very dirty. Breakfast was not much at all.

It was close to airport but it needs some work. The TV remote had only a 3 ft range coffee maker did not work

Dated, but clean and comfortable. Centrally located for what we wanted to do. Staff was amazing!!!

Close to the beach, serve breakfast, property well kept, convenient stores near by. Very helpful employees

Place was dirty. Repair bath room doors after visitor punching holes. No safety lock on door. Continental breakfast with mostly cereals but no spoons. Got into room late after flight delays. Changed hotel on second day but still had to pay because I payed ahead! Was afraid cockroaches might carry away my belongings or catch a ride with me!!!

I can't say that this property meets any standard of a 3.5-star property when seeing it in person. At most this is a roadside inn with only the basic amenities, and certainly not worth its cost nor its rating I found on Expedia. Their listing cites a continental breakfast and that is a stretch, and the options one day to the next of fresh fruit went from paltry choice to none. I do not view vending machines as an equivalent alternative. Upon entering the reception desk area I noted it smelled, perhaps of the clerk's dinner? While pleasant and affable, she was slow. When I asked for a printed list of local eateries, I was referred to Google or any number of the online delivery services. The room furniture was old, the recliner in Room 118 was broken, as was the bathroom window which fell on me when I tried to open and close it. WHen I had to kill a roach in the bathroom Saturday night, I was done.

Everything was great, except their breakfast consisted of the cheapest most sugary small cereal boxes and baked packaged food. Only cream cheese and raison bread was good. To improve, put bran flakes cereal, whole wheat bread slices, apple orange fruit juice boxes, add hard boiled eggs, vran miffins not sugary items.
