Sol Tenerife

We were bed n breakfast and stayed for 9 nights. The room was brilliant and we got the sea view as requested (thank you). The breakfast had a lot of variety/options and could not fault it. The pool area was a little outdated and could do with a little tidy up. That did not spoil our trip.

Very nice location but the worse hotel services ever in the first 3 nights we could not sleep the noise was unbelievable it comes from a night club behind the hotel they the room was ok but old furnitures and the bathroom needs remodeling the next 2 days they changed the room after a bit arguing with the front desk and only the manger of the hotel helped us all other staff was rude and unfriendly I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anybody the room was smaller and ugly old furniture. The parking is terrible and they have very few free parking and wants you to pay to get a good parking, the food is good but people had to bush each others to get food its crowded and have to ask staff to get more If you can find another hotel in this area go for it .

Good location except for noise level from lively music/sports bar across the road. Avoid block B if you like an early night. Overall a pleasant hotel, friendly staff. Food good, but not great. Hotel showing its age. My big gripe! No Jameson whiskey, my favorit tibble, on sale.

Everything you need is on the property, meals, grocery, hardware, pools, billiards... View is to die for!

Staff very warm and friendly and do a wonderful job. No doubt this would have been one of the top hotels in Playa in the past but is now dated and tried looking compared with the more modern hotels. What really lets the hotel down is the noise level from the surrounding area. Even in the quiet room we requested (and given?) the noise from the bar opposite was unbelievable and went on until nearly morning. Not the hotel fault of course.

Don’t bother upgrading to all inclusive. The breakfast is ok, but lunch and dinner is a write off!! Also Make sure you don’t get ran over by one of the lazy, fat chav’s that go in to the food hall on their disability scooters. A sea view room is essential, or you’ll be kept awake all night by the scummy Veronica strip. I’ve been to Tenerife quite a few times over the years and it’s lively in places, but Las America’s has really turned in to Chav central!!!

Very close to clubbing part - very noisy and unable to get sleep

The location is tremendous.... during the day. If you want to actually sleep however, stay elsewhere. My husband and I both had “white noise” playing at nearly full volume all night long in an unsuccessful effort to smooth out the conflicting pounding rhythms from the night club scene below - which was vibrant until 4:30 AM. Then at 6am the lingering drunks below started a yelling fist fight which the police shows up to dissolve 20 minutes later. We were on the 10th floor but might as well have been next door - the walls are that thin. The first receptionist at check in was nice. The hotel is PAINFULLY dated. There was an abundance of food at breakfast but the fresh fruit was flavorless and most everything else seemed from a can. The cockroach on the lobby floor should have clues us in...

We were very disappointed with SOL Tenerife. Apparently, smells not alleviated by good cleaning are attempted to be covered up with perfume which in the case of my partner as was an allergic reaction. The room was very cramped, very limited outlets, general ambiance is not worthy of its supposedly four star rating. With great disappointment we moved to the Ritz Carlton Abama

The room we were allocated on arrival in Block B looked ok to start with but once we had settled in we noticed a few tiny bugs then more started appearing then a large one in the bathroom turned out they were cochroaches - once we had been to reception we were moved to A block with no hassle or argument this room was much nicer and the view was stunning and we had no further bug problem throughouht our stay
