DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront

The parking garage with horrible very dark and dirty.The room was set up odd.The room was an L shape. We had a king size bed and the television was in the opening that had a wall half way between the bed so you could not see it if you were on the left side of the bed.There was a group of people that had multiple room that slam the doors non stop all night and was on the balcony smoking marijuana.

Maintenance came upstairs 4x to fix a slow drain in the tub. We eventually just gave up having it fixed since the issue was never resolved. Just about every hallways reeked of weed smell. And the rooms are dark and dated. Entire hotel needs an overhaul. The front desk staff were the best part. Super friendly and accommodating outside of them I’d never stay here again. The Hyatt is right across the River do yourself a favor and stay there.

The hotel rooms are not well sound-proofed. Very loud on our hall. BUT the staff is amazing!! They provided a generous solution to warm beverages in the snack and when I recklessly left my laptop in the room, they were quick to recover it and ship back to me. Cannot thank this wonderful staff enough for their care!!

the room and hotel in general are sub standard for a Hilton brand..room was dirty , stained carpeting , torn wallpaper, non functioned balcony door, odors..etc...

We asked for a handicapped shower but were unable to use it as the screws were loose and I was afraid it would break. I had had surgery the day before.

I was staying in Jacksonville due to my mother's inpatient surgery and recovery at a nearby hospital. The guest were extremely noisy and I had to change rooms. I chose this hotel as my family and I were previous patrons (three years ago). The rooms and property are in a desperate need of renovations and repair. The signs of aging were clearly visible (painting, water damage and carpet wearing).

The lobby area is nice and inviting but when you get to the hallway and room areas, the condition is not so nice. There are only 2 luggage carts in the whole hotel (which guests decided to hoard) I traveled with my kids by myself, so I had to carry all of our luggage to the 8th floor by myself upon check in and check out ..it took about 3 trips both times . We had noisy neighbors so I had to call security 3 times, for them to finally ask the neighbors to move rooms and COMPED THEIR night for the inconvenience, front desk seemed annoyed that I even bothered them about it even though I had small children trying to sleep. Rooms were not very clean, also small. We will not be staying at this hotel ever again

There is no bathroom counter at all only a small bathroom sink. Kids running in the hallway around 11 pm. Noise and very price for the roon. wouldn’t recommend it.

The location was great and the staff was friendly. The room surface cleaned. But the furniture was stained. The thermostat wanted to fall off the wall anytime we touched it and the display was barely readable. The wall around the shower was cracked. But all was still usable. The biggest issue was the smell. We paid for a riverfront room so our girls could watch the NYE fireworks from our balcony. It was a beautiful view but the smell of weed was strong it was making us nauseous. We had to take the girls down to the pool deck where are the party/ drinking type people were for them to watch fireworks. When we called the front desk to complain they apologized. But when checking out they excused it saying it was their biggest type of customers right now and that's just how it is right now.

We left expensive contacts in the room and phoned the hotel. The hotel phoned house keeping and found them and had them waiting for us at the front desk. To the hotel owners- there was not enough staff working at the front desk- there were lines of people at times four or five groups deep, or more.
