W New Orleans - French Quarter

This little hotel is close to everything. The rooms are small but stylish and the courtyard is beautiful. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Loved the aesthetics of the rooms and the courtyard was a fun gorgeous place to hangout and drink.

Super friendly staff! You don’t have the noise from statin on bourbon st however if that’s what you want it’s a 2 minute walk!

i didn't like that there was NO FREE water in the room for my medications and the fact they charge for an umbrella in your room extras. Not good. Every hotel I ever stayed in supplied umbrellas when it rained. ALSO Every hotel gives FREE internet especially in this day and age. I don't like hotels,especially 4/5 star hotels charging extra for internet. Thats really cheap. I doubt that you will do anything about this so I will not be staying at W hotels again. I will even research all Marriott 4/5 star hotels to see if they charge for these items that should be free. Vincent

I love this hotel for the location, everything is walking distance. I love the modernness, up to date amenities, cleanliness and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only one thing I don’t like about this hotel is that the bathrooms don’t have fans. This is my second time staying here and my last room didn’t have a fan either. Everything else is perfect.

The area by the pool and seating area was relaxing and refreshing. The staff appeared to be very helpful.

It seemed like the hotel was under staffed. House keeping didn’t show up until after 4:00 pm everyday. Our room wasn’t ready for check in until almost 5:00 pm. Room service forgot our coffee. An hour after waiting we called to remind them. We stayed on the lower floor and our neighbors who stayed above us threw trash and cigarettes off their balcony onto our patio.

I will start of by saying that you have to know what to expect with staying at French Quarter hotel, especially one that is in an older building. We stayed in a Carriage House Suite. Pretty pricey but with my Hotels.com reward it was worth the splurge. First the room was located with the door directly opening to the pool/courtyard/valet drive within a couple of feet. It was on the ground floor so that meant we had a small hot tub in a private courtyard. Hot tub was only lukewarm on a chilly night so we didn't chance it. The courtyard could have been magnificent but it was bare minimum 2 uncomfortable chairs and a table. Let's also throw in the balcony for the rooms above looked directly down into the hot tub and courtyard. More about room above us, EXTREMELY loud. Not to fault the other guests, you could just hear everything above, next door, and outside of our room. The room has TINY bathroom that is like a glass box in the corner, which is completely mirrored on the inside which was odd. Overall the room appeared nice but was anything but quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. I have stayed at other premium Marriott brands and this was my first time at a W brand and I was greatly disapointed.

Our room was not ready at 3pm as promised. It was after 5 when we finally got to our room. The general manager was nice but it was a pain!
