Sonder - The Essex

Best hotel we stayed at this year. Very clean, tasteful decoration, comfortable and convenient. Awesome location!

After some difficulty finding the rental and dragging suitcases upstairs (no elevator) I enjoyed my stay in this cozy downtown apartment. The bed could be more comfortable, but the location was great and everything was spotless.

Bad- Communication was horrible. Didn't get to check in early like requested or even at checkin time. Was given the information to get in the room at 7pm hours after normal check in time so it cut into our stay and plans. Good- Loved the room everything was great. Very clean very comfortable updated washer and dryer.

No issues with self check in/keypad locks. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped including good coffee.

This was a perfect place to stay. I honestly had everything I needed. They have chrome cast, but I brought my own fire stick to plug in for ease. We got the 2bd apartment and were completely comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful with lots to do. There is outdoor park space just outside and the neighborhood was friendly and cool. It’s right by the interstate, and yes you can hear it, but it did not effect me at all. Honestly I have no complaints and would stay here again as long as it was within the budget again.

The location and layout were great. Parking was limited, so that was a bit stressful. The bed was much more firm than I’m used to, but was ok. I had a few minor issues with the cooling system but I easily chatted with a Sonder rep through the Sonder app and they promptly help me troubleshoot the problem. Overall, communication about any concerns was easy and fast.

The building and apartment unit were beautiful and clean. We loved staying at this apartment because of the aesthetic and amenities. The only frustrations we encountered were in regard to the neighborhood and the lack of restroom in the common spaces. The neighborhood was filled with construction, which made it incredibly difficult to navigate our path to the property. Additionally, due to Denver's homeless population, it's extremely difficult to find a restroom (even at petrol stations), so the lack of restroom in the common spaces of this building was a huge strain during our travels (we were unable to request an early check-in due to COVID19).

The accommodations were great, the neighborhood a bit rough.

This place was very easy to check in and out. It was decorated very nicely. The bed, including the couch bed were comfortable. We were within walking distance to many different things. We did rent a car, and had no problems finding a parking spot. The thermostat was a little tricky to operate, but the owners were easily accessible and helpful. No issues at all! Loved the place.

Very nice remodel of a historic building. I would certainly recommend, and stay here again.
